I think this was credited as something it was partly covering/re-working a while back.

However, I feel like they've taken quite literally 3 steps back judging by the clip. Wings was good, but isn't it the one that fans agree with by saying it has aged horribly? We shall see for the full thing. But my initial expectation is to absolutely love it for 3 weeks before being sick to death of it :lol:

Yeah, my sentiments exactly. I knew they'd revert back to an earlier sound after LM5 underperformed, but I didn't think they'd use 'Wings' as a blueprint...

 

I'll reserve judgment until it's out in full, but my expections have been seriously lowered.

This is what I feared would happen after LM5 underperformed. :(

I think the snippet sounds fun and I’m excited. Also, despite the horns, I’m not really getting the Sax or Focus comparisons. I didn’t think of those at all until it was brought up.

I feel like it's definitely more 'Wings' than it is 'Sax' or 'Focus'. But we'll see on that! I genuinely thought we'd get a 'Forget You Not' or 'Wasabi' type Summer smash, due to the quite clear and pretty overwhelming fan favourite, popularity of those 2 tracks, so I think that's mainly where my disappointment with the snippet is.

I may have to dissociate from this campaign entirely if it's as bad as CSL. That track is genuinely irredeemable. 'Sax' was good at the time but it's aged horrifically.

I think the music sounds a bit like the part in Focus when Ariana goes 1,2,3 come on girls
