Number 5 in the midweek chart released today with sales of 4,227.

Ouch the gap between 5-7 is so small!!! I might order another version now to support her.

I feel she will hold a Top 10 position but just about.

I have a feeling it'll end up just outside the top 10, fingers crossed it holds on for her though

I think she should be OK to hold onto the top 10,would love to know where it went in at on Friday /Saturday and whether she has slipped down far already? Having said that Melanie C did drop from #11 midweek to #25 so who knows, she could end up at #19 or something :huh:

 

Either way whether she gets top 5, top 10 or top 20 it will be the first solo Spice album to do so since 2004 which is a cause for celebration in itself.

I think BMG will make sure it ends top 10, they can discount on iTunes etc if needs be.

Ps I want to know how Claire Richards get's a performance on Graham Norton and Emma didn't get to perform on Jonathan Ross??

I wonder if Martine McCutcheon is still with BMG? She got to number 17 two years ago with her album on their label and also got Radio 2 support.

I'm not sure if she is, but I'm only basing this on the fact that she doesn't have an artist store any more!

I feel a bit concerned that Emma could end up dipping out of the Top 10 by Friday! :(

It's hard to know if she will stay top 10 as I thought her sales would be higher and her existing sales will be front loaded, I hope she can stay top 10 though and as mentioned it's the highest charting spice girl solo album in almost 15 years.

If she charts higher than 'Version of Me' at #25, I'll be over the moon.

 

I'd expect all the spices to have a very similar fanbase. So I find the mid-week very encouraging!

Sales climate was so different then.

 

The bundle craze wasn’t around then either.

 

She has dropped to number 7 today in the midweeks.

Uh oh! I was hoping she would be able to hold onto #5 for a bit longer or only slip one place if so!

She will still be top 20 which is a huge improvement on her last position of Top 70.

 

 

Yeah but in terms of her keeping her contract I'm guessing a top 10 is needed...
