May 12, 20196 yr Can’t see France troubling the top spot. What will give it significant wind in its sails is the PR build up. But there is a jury stake and I can’t see them voting for a very average song coupled with a very average vocalist.
May 12, 20196 yr It'd be crazy if "Roi" outdoes the excellent "J'ai Cherché", "Requiem" and "Mercy" It would be deserved (OK I love “J’ai Cherché” but I definitely prefer “Roi” to the other two)
May 12, 20196 yr It would be deserved (OK I love “J’ai Cherché” but I definitely prefer “Roi” to the other two) *pats on head* :P
May 12, 20196 yr It would be deserved (OK I love “J’ai Cherché” but I definitely prefer “Roi” to the other two) Your opinion this year is so wrong on so many different levels
May 14, 20196 yr Just done a little £2.50 each way on Iceland to win the contest. We haven't had a Lordi-esque winner since Lordi.
May 14, 20196 yr Just noticed Australia is in third place now. :o The song is good, but I wonder if Europe will decide to crown Australia some day. ;) Edited May 14, 20196 yr by Jason
May 14, 20196 yr Author Just noticed Australia is in third place now. :o The song is good, but I wonder if Europe will decide to crown Australia some day. ;) gooddelta got 50/1 a few pages back - he's in for a great weekend if it wins. Think I'm going to put some e/w money on Iceland. That is certainly going to get people talking - just got to wait for the markets to re-open now.

May 14, 20196 yr Author Taking all of the BuzzJackness out of it.. how likely is it that Australia will beat the Netherlands? I feel it's hard to get a clear reaction as it's obviously a fan favourite, but will this translate to votes..
May 15, 20196 yr Australia nailed the performance and even myself would rate it much higher tonight than I did previously, the staging was Brill. Iceland I love the backing synth track but dont like the vocal but it is memorable. I know they are semi final 2 but I just love Norway and i hope they nail the performance thurs night. I'm hoping Ireland will do a San Marino and be the surprise qualifer but sadly I think we will dnq. Edited May 15, 20196 yr by Feel_The_Fever

I feel it's hard to get a clear reaction as it's obviously a fan favourite, but will this translate to votes.. It's tough because I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, as you say it's buzzjack/gay Twitter and Kate is them all over, and it's another thing to appeal to the casuals, all of Europe in different cultures etc., but I just keep getting a stronger and stronger feeling it will do it! If not I imagine it will be Netherlands or Sweden even as the safe option, I'm getting an increasing feeling the latter could do it.
May 15, 20196 yr As brilliant as Kate and the staging is, I don't think the song i quite strong enough to win unfortunately.
May 15, 20196 yr As brilliant as Kate and the staging is, I don't think the song i quite strong enough to win unfortunately. I wouldn't agree with that, although admittedly it's been highly divisive among the fan community. Personally, musically it's my favourite Eurovision entry of any sort since If Love Was A Crime. The brilliant Kate herself and the incredible staging just make it even better.
May 15, 20196 yr I still find it hard to push Zero Gravity to win as I don't think the song itself grabs in enough but it's a strong shout for top 3. There's no stand out though, if Arcade is faltering, so it COULD. I do think it's worth noting Semi Final 1 is MUCH weaker in terms of favourites, while any of Netherlands, Sweden, Russia or Azerbaijan could potentially win tomorrow, so there's that factor when it comes to Zero Gravity receiving such a great wealth of last nights hype.
May 16, 20196 yr Author Netherlands odds on now at 10/11, Australia drifted to 7/1. Iceland back out at 20/1. Greece is 100/1 - is that worth a small bet?
