April 5, 20197 yr Author Future hit? BLACKPINK Kill This Love 1st single from KILL THIS LOVE Released: 4th April 2019 Label: YG Entertainment Video 2S24-y0Ij3Y Biography K-pop girl group BlackPink made their breakthrough in 2016 with their hip-hop- and trap-influenced brand of energetic dance pop. The quartet, formed by YG Entertainment, combines the talents of Korean-born lead vocalist Jisoo Kim, New Zealand-raised main rapper/vocalist Jennie Kim, Australian-raised main vocalist Rose Park Chae Young, and Thai lead rapper Lalisa Manoban (aka Lisa, born Pranpriya Manoban). BlackPink debuted with their single Square One, which featured the hits "Boombayah" and "Whistle." Produced and written with Teddy Park, Future Bounce, and Bekuh Boom, Square One introduced a "K-trap" style that sounded like 2NE1 blended with BTS. Both tracks climbed the charts in the United States and Korea, even breaking into the French singles chart. Months later, they released Square Two, which entered the U.S. Heatseekers chart at number 13 and the World Albums chart at number two. Square Two also became the first debut for a K-pop girl group on the Canadian charts. In the summer of 2017, the group issued the chart-topping single "As If It's Your Last," their third to top the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. Months later, they made their Japanese debut with the Blackpink EP (YGEX/Avex Entertainment), which compiled past hits in newly recorded Japanese versions. Topping the Japanese charts, BlackPink became just the third foreign artist debut to do so. Re:BlackPink arrived in early 2018, combining previously issued tracks from both Japanese and Korean releases. The Square Up EP arrived that summer, headed by the single "DDU-DU DDU-DU." In addition to entering the U.K. trending chart, the song became the highest showing on the Billboard Hot 100 by an all-female K-pop group (following Wonder Girls' 2009 hit "Nobody"). The EP also made moves on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting all-female K-pop effort to date at number 40. Later that year, the group signed a global partnership deal with Interscope/Universal. - iTunes _______________________________________________________________ Top 100 Chart History 2018 78 DDU-DU DDU-DU -1- 2018 36 Kiss And Make Up (Dua Lipa & BLACKPINK) 2019 __ Kill This Love -1- _______________________________________________________________ Social Media BLACKPINK http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png
April 5, 20197 yr Bad guy was mutilated :/ they cut all good songs off so that they can play Options :/
April 5, 20197 yr Ugh, James Arthur #1 again :puke2: LOL Brilliant that Bad Guy managed to reach #2 at least.
April 5, 20197 yr Lewis Capaldi is not James Arthur that is such a lazy poor comparison :/ Yeah it lacks the nuance and consideration of takes like 'all *redacted* sounds the same'
April 5, 20197 yr SBP is a good song but I got sick of it after seeing a million basic girls using it in their IG stories why are you following so many basic girls tho
April 6, 20197 yr Lewis Capaldi is not James Arthur that is such a lazy poor comparison :/ Yeah it lacks the nuance and consideration of takes like 'all *redacted* sounds the same'!!!!
April 7, 20197 yr Another Chart thread, another umpteen complaints about too many "urban" songs (and they all sound the SAME!) - please keep it up peeps, it honestly gives me great pleasure reading through them every week :D Anyone actually considered that those who turn a blind eye to the genre will by default think they all sound the same? Really impressed to see bad guy at #2, MUCH better than her other 2 tracks in the 40 (still think when the party's over is her best tho). LOVE Your Mrs, what a banger! Don't even want to listen to the Westlife song. Old Town Road was quite the unique listen, must be one of the shortest ever songs to enter the top 40? (I'm excluding all the interludes we have from Drake's album etc. during one of the many, many phases of OCC's chart-tinkering).
April 7, 20197 yr The Ladies' Bras was like 37 seconds A banger, may I add. Other short tracks to chart were Liam Lynch's United States Of Whatever (1:26 [original version]) and Hans Zimmer's Spider Pig from The Simpsons Movie (1:04) And as for longer tracks. The longest to make it to the UK Top 40 was The Orb's Blue Room (40 minutes approx) back in 1992
