May 3, 20196 yr This is cute! Nothing groundbreaking but after Medellin was a bit more left field, this is nice as a calmer moment. It kind of feels a tad dated but it's cute and easily accessible.
May 8, 20196 yr I must admit I got bored of this quite quickly . The chorus let down the song , It is repeated too many times ...

June 19, 20196 yr Author Video for 'I Rise' on Time Magazine's site: https://time.com/5608577/madonna-i-rise-video/ “Freedom,” sings Madonna, “is what you choose to do with what’s been done to you.” This lyric from the artist’s new song “I Rise,” off her 14th studio album Madame X, is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. A new video inspired by the song, created by Madonna and TIME Studios, weaves together footage of the survivors of the Parkland shooting, supporters of LGBTQ equality, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman’s powerful testimony about sexual abuse, first responders to natural disasters and other social justice movements. The video, directed by Peter Matkiwsky, tells the story of a global population fighting for rights, recognition and survival. TIME Studios recently released its first feature film, “Amazing Grace.” Wow, this really elevates the song for me! So uplifting. <3
June 30, 20196 yr Author ^I agree! It was my least favourite of the pre-release songs but I really like it now. It's strong in its own right now as well as being a great, uplifting closer. The TIME music video definitely elevated it for me.
July 4, 20196 yr Author Yeah, doesn't really do it for me either. It's a pretty generic production, not really any consideration for the emotion of the song.
August 24, 20195 yr Madonna Earns 48th No. 1 on Dance Club Songs Chart With 'I Rise' "It is always an honor to work with Madonna," remixer Tracy Young tells Billboard. The chart, and all rankings dated Aug. 31, will refresh on Billboard.com on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
