Oh dear... Sotland... after that 3-0 lead, where did it all go wrong, anyway if they did win it I don't think they would have qualify.

Well done to England Ellen White second goal was pretty much epic, Japan nearly had a few chances in that second half.

The 2019 Women's World Cup has become the UK's most viewed women's football tournament on TV.

The event has achieved a combined TV reach of 17.2 million people, beating the 12.4 million total set for the whole of the 2015 tournament in Canada.

England's win over Scotland set an audience record for a women's football game on UK TV of 6.1 million.

Some huge matches in those brackets. France vs Brazil. Netherlands vs Japan, Spain vs USA. It's a lot. I really should watch more but it hasn't been convenient times for me mostly.
Germany have beaten Nigeria 3-0 to reach the quarter-finals, and Norway against Australia has gone to extra time. The winner of that game will play England or Cameroon next.
Assuming they do win, they will be playing Norway in the quarter-finals after they beat Australia on penalties.
England scored, but Cameroon were making a mountain of a molehill after a VAR decision
Well that was extraordinary what Cameroon did. The ref should have taken more of a lead in restarting the game.

Somebody should have came on to explain the decision.

I think the time difference plays a major part with the 2015 Canada tournament

Kuwait 1982 anyone??

You might want to you tube that one, they weren't televised at that point.

I can't see Cameroon coming back after that goal. It seems this match has gone towards England way.

I was watching with the Radio 5 commentary for the second England goal. They were suggesting that one of the Cameroon players might have caught a brief glimpse of the freeze-frame on the big screen which showed an England player in an offside position. The suggestion is that the Cameroon player may have got such a brief glimpse that she didn't realise the player in question wasn't the goal-scorer.

Some people have suggested that VAR wasn't intended to make decisions like the one that ruled out the Cameroon goal. Do we really want to delay the game to rule out a goal because someone was an inch offside? If it was a different sort of decision, it surely would not have counted as a clear and obvious error.
