What's that iteresting about it? I don't mind the song but it feels like she tries too hard to be edgy

I think Nightmare is great, I wouldn't call it edgy, it's very Avril Lavigne

Nightmare has had 0 support from Spotify so far, so no wonder it's flopping

agree HH is beyond stale, especially in the top tier, positions 11-40 are ok but they need to remove some of the songs in the top 10

It is really disappointing that 'Nightmare' seems to be falling off so quickly despite getting off to a similar start to 'Without Me', it stands out by a mile among 98% of the rest of the chart (sure it's not the most edgy / experimental etc. song ever but it's definitely different by current mainstream music standards). At least Billie Eilish is still doing well ~
I would totally remove Meduza, Jax Jones, SOS, Bad guy from the top 10 of HH, they've had their time
Yeah Nightmare is easily Halsey's best. Hot Hits really needs a shake up. The same songs have been at the bottom for weeks now - Charli, Halsey, Rita/Tiesto could all go up and Katy Perry being only 34th when she effortlessly made the top 20 on Spotify seems weird.
So weird they didn't add Chris/Drake. Here for Heaven to smash hard.

Neither need encouragement do they?

I always thought "Nightmare" being a hit was too good to be true, it's soooo annoying that the public would get behind "Without Me" but not this!!

I like both

But Nightmare should at least be given a chance

No chances if the song is track #68 on HH

Nightmare will probably be track 10 on Hot Hits in 3 months time when all the hype has died. That seems to be how Hot Hits works.

I’m hoping as time passes, there will be rules put in place regarding how long a track can be on a influential playlist like Hot Hits.

Hot Hits is not meant to be a fresh brand new music playlist, the clue is in the name...

what's Hot it's pretty ambiguous...

sure the new Katy Perry is a hot hit, no matter how you define it and should be higher

I never said it was a new music playlist? It’s supposed to be a balance of new songs and current hits. But what is the point if the same songs dominate the top half and new music goes unheard at the bottom of the playlist.

Songs which have spent multiple weeks in the charts already, should be moved down to make way for new hits and at least attempt to keep the charts fresh.

Spotify aren't trying to keep the chart fresh though, that's the OCC. I imagine Spotify will get more streams on it by having the bigger hits at the top.

You literally just contradicted yourself within one sentence. It's not meant to be a balance, it is a playlist of the biggest hits (save for payola-driven anomalies like Picture This), hence the name. No one is going to Hot Hits to find new music, it's something to put on in the background which has all the biggest current popular songs which everyone already knows. Spotify has no reason to care about how 'fresh' the charts are, they make the same amount of money no matter what people are listening to.
