Someone on DS pointed out it's been exactly 10 years since the episodes where Stacey was sectioned. Watching back, definitely some of the best scenes to have ever been done on the show...and we're getting back to that level of quality slowly but surely now too!

Lacey really turned in some powerful scences through all those episodes as did the supporting characters to the storyline.

This storyline and the performances saw the start of Lacey winning a huge amount of awards for herself and the show.

She’s not always a character I like and I don’t always root for her BUT Lacey is an amazing actress and when she gets a certain type of story she blows me away.

Also are we getting an eating disorder story for Honey.

Tuesdays episodes showed her not wanting to eat any food and she then ate food and rushed off to the toilet

Then she again didn’t want food in tonight’s episode and implies she’d eaten a big breakfast too which Adam said she didn’t touch.

Interesting.

It is hard to predict the direction of the Honey storyline, the eating disorder looks likely.
Why do I get the faint undertone that something is going to happen with Ben/Martin?

What was the reference Ben made about a bridge tonight?

I really struggled to think of what he was referring too.

Also I really hope I’m wrong here but I feel we’re heading for a Rainie death. Probably an unannounced one before the episode itself airs like how they done Holly Barton’s on Emmerdale.

I just have a feeling the actress will move on as she’s been in a lot of shows and it could help show a total new side of Stuart coping with the loss of someone he cares about. It’s also been a while since Eastenders had a death that was due to a taboo subject matter and having the character die of a drugs related death would be another way of ensuring their number one soap status.

Edit: just seen what was meant by it!!

Charlie Jones Ben and the other Martin. So weird to see Stacey his future wife in that scene though!

I have had the same thought.

Dean Gaffney has been axed over begging a stranger for "sexy pics", so Robbie isn't returning from India :D

I’d be here for a Rainie death tbh. This is her longest stint as a character and whilst the character delivers when she’s on screen, her storyline sort of feels exhausted? I completely get that she’s being realistic in her portrayal of relapse but it irks me how she’s gone this way again rather than perhaps turning things around for herself but I guess she’s never been that sort of character to do that.

I’d welcome a Cora and even Tanya return to aid the drama

Robbie won’t be missed at all. He wasn’t even doing much in a supporting capacity and he was lucky to ever be brought back at all.

As for Rainie, a death could be likely. I never want her to leave but Tanya Franks has been it in much longer now than she usually is and she’ll likely exit soon regardless.

I wish they’d stop killing off the good characters. They need to be more like Neighbours and killing off the deadwood/hated characters (Sonya aside)

Why is that a sackable offence? So he was on a dating website being a creep. That's his personal business.

I actually forgot he was even in it anyway. Oop.

The message must have contained more if he was fired.

He wont be missed as he offered next to nothing.

Dean himself was stupid to get himself in this position as he longed for an EastEnders return for years.

I’m guessing this was just an excuse they were looking for to sack him anyway because he was useless.
On his first stint I really dislike him but when he came back this time he was a little bit more tolerable, still wont miss him though and husxwages can be used better on another character.
It is bad when a character who is on the show on and off for over 25 years wont be slightly missed.
When has Robbie ever been anything other than comic relief? And even then his impact seems minimal which is why it’s less of a shock. He’s never really been given anything gritty to deal with; maybe his feud with Steve Owen over Saskia’s death but that was 20 years ago!
His storylines always let him down, since his return he has was highly unnoticeable.
