You only think it’s shite because you hate Sharon. I’m really enjoying it.

Mick is the worst bit at the moment.

"Oi found ha necklace oi did, which means 1000 + 700 ÷ 7 + 2 [ 4 / 5] = 2!! Urgh. No. Just have Mel survive and have a NATURAL reveal. This is just stupid. NECKLERRRSSS!!!

Finding Sharon’s necklace at Jack’s house after they already suspected that these two characters, who almost got married once, were having an affair isn’t some huge leap.

I am possibly Mel’s biggest fan on here and I miss her dearly but I can totally see why they killed her off. The reveal is set for Christmas and Tamzin Outhwaite wasn’t hanging on that long. An actress of her calibre was unlikely to return for a second time and she’d lost everything. Why not use her death to ramp up some drama?

Well, then, have her go to Portugal and film a SINGLE SCENE WELL IN ADVANCE OF HER EXIT of Phil goin round and finding out.

She could have been a new Janine - lord, we need one, and they killed off two of the candidates, three npw with Mel, and destroyed Cindy.

I would have preferred mel not to have been killed off, she was really a great character in the weeks before she left and had so many great storyline opportunities.

The penny dropping for Phil still shook me despite knowing it was going to happen this week!

Great episode overall and leads nicely in tomorrow's drama. However, I do feel like maybe it's going to be a 'quieter' episode than usual unless something really shocking happens.

Omg drunk Linda is actual life tho, having a go at Mick like that.

Is there any hope at all of Mick admitting he was a shit father during Lee’s depression now that he’s back?

I was too and from looking online apparently sharon said the same about the last time she saw people wearing christmas hats was in a lift.

THIS IS WHY THE WHOLE THING IS RIDICULOUS!!

THEY NEEDED MEL ALIVE FOR THIS REVEAL TO MAKE AAAANY SENSE!

Drunk Linda is absolutely iconic

I have a feeling Keanu could go at the end of the Xmas day episode you know... but not by Ben or Phil.

Idk just a hunch but I can see it happening. I’m definitely excited for this years Christmas though. EastEnders is always the best soap this time of year imo. Idk why there’s just something about walford and Christmas what go hand in hand were always guaranteed drama.

It’s perfectly fine, if anything was unrealistic, it was Mel figuring it out and even more ridiculous, being able to obtain the DNA results. But most of us don’t care about that because it brought the drama. If it had been Sharon who’d done that, you’d be pointing out how stupid it is.

It's actually scary how well Steve McFadden acts at being angry. His facial expression when the penny dropped about Sheanu was legit really unsettling.

SO hyped for tonight!

Oh and Kellie Bright is absolutely incredible playing a drunk isn't she? Very realistic in regards to how nasty people with addictions can get. I've only just started watching again after a near 2-year break and I forgot how brilliant she can be.

Definitely! Mick really drags Linda down, Kellie is a brilliant actress and one of the best the show has but she never quite gets to shine with such tedious Carter stories oversaturating her time on the show. When she gets something that's actually about her she really shines!

Yeah I thought that, there's got to be something else happening. I was expecting the affair to come out in the actual Christmas episode but for Louise, Ben and Phil to twig yesterday I think there must be more that happens. It could be Louise accidentally and Phil/Ben cover it up for her but then that would be a bit too similar to Hayley and Kat's Alfie saga last year

I honestly think Mick has been fine recently, especially throughout the Ollie autism storyline. A brilliant example of how to approach a situation like that, and I always enjoy Danny Dyer's softer acting more than his stereotypical cockney man of the house crap.
