I see, I thought ACR couldn't count in terms of weeks in decline until the 10th week at the earliest.

I haven't checked all the songs but for ones high up on the chart, Don't Start Now, Someone You Loved and My Oh My have all been up day on day numbers wise on spotty compared to last week, and Adore You is quite a lot higher today than it was last Saturday - so all of these could avoid ACR if they stay that way

Really hope 'My Oh My' avoids ACR!

I hope it does too. It’s too soon for that to be going to ACR

It seems quite a lot of the bunch currently on 2 weeks of decline will increase this week

I wonder if record companies are learning to manipulate the charts to avoid ACR?

As of today's midweeks (disclaimer, this may not be the case come Friday), Camila, Darkoo, Lewis (SYL), Harry and Dua are set to avoid ACR. The rest should be on their way.

I really hope Someone You Loved goes back to ACR this week. I had a look at it's Spotify streams and it started the week ahead week-on-week but has fallen behind today.

Friday (24th vs 31st) - 258,065 v 262,290 (4,225 ahead)

Saturday (25th vs 1st) - 254,409 v 262,164 (11,980 ahead)

Sunday (26th vs 2nd) - 234,533 v 241,376 (18,823 ahead)

Monday (27th vs 3rd) - 250,985 v 240,606 (8,444 ahead)

Tuesday (28th vs 4th) - 253,013 v 241,462 (3,107 behind)

Last week total: 1,251,005

This week total: 1,247,989

That's still about a 40k increase on Spotify so far so it does seem pretty likely he'll avoid it sadly. Even on SCR its ridiculous the song is still popular to be as high as #6 in the midweeks about a year after its peak.

It's a 3,107 drop!

Oh yeah of course, I was adding up the wrong numbers

Change the rules so that if a song has hit ACR for the third time, to remain there for good
Wow what a novel idea, did you just come up with that?

It’s a brilliant idea. Three strikes. One way to clear out the staleness

Has any song actually ever been on ACR more than 3 times anyway though?

No amount of this being the case will stop Hadji suggesting it (or some similar variant) as if it's some genius idea every couple of weeks. And then me making a post calling it out and him ignoring it. Idk why I still do this. x

You beat me to that question. I certainly don't recall any.

Sunflower and I Don't Care are on ACR for the 3rd time, and bad guy will be when it next goes.

Pretty sure nothing has gone back to SCR after a 3rd time on ACR yet.
