Right now Post Malone's Circles would be #1 if Ride It was on ACR, and if Dance Monkey, Don't Start Now and South of the Border were never released. :lol:

 

Dance Monkey isn't on ACR though, because it's only just stopped increasing! It's amazing to think that it's close to still being number one even if it was on ACR - it's still by far the most consumed song in the UK this week.

Yeah, it's still top on every single metric! It would feel wrong if it wasn't number one with that in mind!

even if Dance Monkey goes to acr it’ll be back in january thanks to the 25% rule anyway, could even go back to number one.

ACR should be for songs which have peaked - I don't like to see songs removed from #1 because of it. Fortunately that hasn't happened for a long time (Senorita and TMBTL would have been replaced even on SCR) - One Kiss was the last to be cut short, although since then I Don't Care missed out on returning for a week (when Beautiful People was #1) and of course Mariah missed out on 2 weeks at #1 last year because of it.

Curiously, under the 'old rules' when the ACR trigger was based on combined sales rather than just streams, Ride It would have moved to ACR 2 weeks ago after its last week at #2, while Dance Monkey would be only on its first week of market-beating decline rather than its second.

I think 'ROXANNE' will likely be #1 pretty soon but not sure it'll be as soon as next week so Dua could sneak in at least a week (assuming Tones does actually go to ACR). Really hope so anyway.

Little Mix is just a Christmas song, don't see that making a huge impact. Does Lewis actually have a 'single' or is it just a handful of new tracks from the album re-release? Either way I don't know if he has the pull to go straight in at #1 if 'Hold Me While You Wait' couldn't.
