I updated the riveria format! It’ll get structured like the BBC formats cos it quite literally is just like the bbc playlists just under the ‘global’ brand.

I intepret it as:

High rotation - 5+ plays a day

Moderate rotation - 3-4 plays a day

Low rotation - 1-2 plays a da

i’ll also make a smaller list of recent recurrent tracks that get played (2024, maybe some 2023 and 2025). Songs not from 2025/26 need 2+ to get on.

Well Kiss has sucked me back in, mainly for Jordan and Perri's final week on breakfast but I find myself listening again this morning. I still find the high rotation tracks being repeated every 2.5 hours very irritating, like do I need to hear Sapphire that much, but at the same time it's allowing my love for Aperture to continue to grow so it's a double edged sword. Some really great throwbacks in the mix though, that's something they do get right, even if the 'Kisstory' element is all but gone apart from a meagre half an hour under a completely different name.

i find kiss to be losing all of it’s spark. all of it’s interesting adds are now thrown out the window bar ‘Midnight Sun’ and ‘Church’ cos they need money? and they hardly play either of those. Their also add pop recurrent tracks now… namely ‘Apt.’, ‘Shivers’, ‘Hot To Go!’, ‘Birds of a Feather’ and ‘That’s So True’. Kiss is really losing lots of us as was once the most interesting “main” station out there.
