Monaco have sacked manager Leonardo Jardim for the second time in 14 months and appointed former Spain boss Robert Moreno.

Jardim returned in January to replace ex-Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, three months after the Ligue 1 club ended his initial four-year spell in charge.

Malaga have sacked manager Victor Sanchez after a sexually explicit video of him on social media went viral. He claims he was blackmailed over the video prior to it being published.

Obviously a stop-gap before Xavi inevitably comes in within the next 18 months.

Hate to say it, but it's clear that Messi is the manager no matter who they have.

Weird to see a manager sacked who’s top of the league.

I’m guessing Poch turned down Barca due to Espanyol connections? Xavi has apparently turned down the role of manager.

With this, I also agree. As long Messi will be there, he will be the manager.

Besides that, I'm guessing that all the new players that are joining Barcelona are Messi approved.

He never fails to surprise us:

Mario Balotelli was sent off seven minutes after coming on as a substitute in Brescia's draw with Cagliari in Serie A.

The striker was shown a second yellow card for dissent nine minutes from time, moments after being booked for a high challenge on Fabio Pisacane.

Balotelli will now miss Friday's game against former club AC Milan through suspension.

The 29-year-old has scored five goals since joining Brescia in August.

Balotelli has now received 13 red cards in his career, and is only the second player in Europe's top five leagues to have been dismissed in each of the past four seasons, alongside Monaco defender Jemerson.

One of the biggest waste of talents in football history. Think how many trophies he could have won by now had he applied himself.

Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal is to keep his job at the club despite being criticised by star forward Lionel Messi.

Six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi spoke out against Abidal after he had said players were not working hard under former coach Ernesto Valverde.

Valverde was sacked in January and replaced by Quique Setien.

Barcelona called an emergency meeting with ex-France defender Abidal on Wednesday to discuss the issue.

After two hours of talks, it was decided the 40-year-old would remain in his role at the Nou Camp.
