Ed Sheeran/Khalid and Shawn Mendes/Camila Cabello battle for a second week as the singles #1. Sam Smith's newest single How Do You Sleep? is set to debut, plus a new release from Charli XCX/Christine & The Queens

while Ed's No.6 Collabs album heads for another week at #1, the self-titled debut from Freya Ridings should make a good showing. New releases come from Sum 41, Sabaton, Shakespear's Sister, The Flaming Lips, the physical release for Thom Yorke's 'ANIMA' and Beyoncé's new compilation The Lion King: The Gift

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Wow good start for Shawn and Camila returning to the top. Be interesting to see what happens now given the weather's meant to be hot all week - it certainly proved to be what kept 'Shotgun' at the top for as long as it was last summer.

They did last week so presumably yes :P

It's strange that the First Look chart is entirely limited to a top 20 (I know the show on R1 is only an hour but nothing stopping them from publishing at least 21-40 online as well).

Early Monday update coming but I take back everything I said - I Don't Care has indeed been reset (first time they've reset something that's been starred out!)

:o Wow. Good old OCC being inconsistent with their rules then. :D

Early Monday update coming but I take back everything I said - I Don't Care has indeed been reset (first time they've reset something that's been starred out!)

so they’ve quietly changed that rule too then?

I just wish they’d change it so it gets reset on the week it has a big boost then we’d never have had the 2-out-3 messy run.

I just wish they’d change it so it gets reset on the week it has a big boost then we’d never have had the 2-out-3 messy run.

I can't see them doing that as it would make it even more inconsistent between the midweeks and EOW charts (and I'm glad for chart hosting purposes x)

If that is the new rule then I guess we can get used to album tracks appearing in the chart for one week and then being replaced by a song being taken off ACR the next.
