I don't think a break in the spin off will do them any harm tbh. Sales will be very low at this time of year so probably doesn't make commercial sense to put anything out. They've already got albums targeted at Valentines Day and Mothers Day, which are the two main events of Q1.

The only release I'd like to see would be a Welsh one for St. David's Day with Welsh artists on such as Stereophonics, Manics, Tom Jones, Catatonia, etc...but will most likely be a playlist on their App than a CD release.

I did make a Six Nations playtlist on my Apple Music with tracks from all the countries taking part in the tournament, which I can play as a warm up if I have anyone over to watch the game or enjoy on myn own. This could also be a good release if they wanted to try and capitalise on the Rugby fever, but I'm probably helping them scrape the barrel with spin offs at the same time.

I spoke too soon about there being hardly any spin-offs. NOW 100 Hits Country will be released on 13th March. As long as it has the songs from the country radio station on GTA San Andreas, I’ll be happy

NOW 100 Hits Forgotten 60s is due for release on 27th March according to amazon and it’s gonna be on 5 discs. With how short songs in the 60s were, they could’ve reduced it to 4 discs and squeezed them onto 4 discs. NOW 105 also has a release date of 3rd April but no sign of NOW 5, perhaps they’ll release that in July along with NOW 106 as NOW 5 was originally released in summer 1985

I love it. Never seen a NOW with a white background (apart from a NOW Dance album maybe?)

Now 52?

Seems fitting at this stage to do an early tracklist prediction that will be all sorts of wrong by the time of release, especially if the release is coupled with a release of Now 5 on CD also (with 5 sounds at the close of Disc 2 as per the last few volumes).

If they decide to include No Time To Die on the album and they include A View To A Kill as a throwback track, we would have two Bond themes on the same NOW album

They won’t.

They won’t.

Why won’t they? Writing’s on the Wall appeared on NOW 92 and other Bond themes have appeared on NOWs

Y’all being very optimistic not including any Radio 2 faves when you know it’s going to happen :kink:

I’d class the 1975 as a radio 2 fave as they get played on there and they’ve had lower charting songs appear on the series

Besides with the R2 faves, most of their songs are too long which take up too much disc space. Even some of the TBs take up too much disc space. Let’s just hope they’re not anti-urban like they were on 102. If they wanna be anti-urban, at least include the urban songs which are major hits ie. Own It, The Box etc
Anyway changing the subject, I don’t see any reason why NTTD won’t appear on NOW 105

I doubt it. everything i wanted is the more likely contender. Now 105 is out the same week as Bond releases and I reckon they’ll want to capitalise on the push of the single itself so won’t have it on a compilation that will detract from sales.

It will most likely hit #1 way before then so it won’t matter as much. They still included WOTW on NOW 92 and that was after it hit #1. If NTTD ain’t included on 105, they might save it for 106

Sam Smith aside, they haven’t featured a Bond track in the series since 1997 when Sheryl Crow recorded the theme for Tomorrow Never Dies. I was surprised to learn that Writing’s On The Wall was the first and only ever #1 Bond song, even if this was common knowledge to anyone else.

Billie Eilish May score her first UK #1 single with her Bond theme, but I wouldn’t say this assures her of a place on the next edition of the Now series, I believe the rights to Bond music are quite expensive too and if it gets to #1 that might make it even harder to secure for the compilation.

Besides, as Lewis said, they will not want to overlook everything i wanted which has stuck around the Top 20 for a couple of months now.
