All in all I think a very strong tracklist with some great tracks from the past 5-6 months. A couple I didn't expect like John Legend and Alicia Keys, but all in all it's a thumbs up from me!

As much as I don’t like TB’s, I wasn’t expecting them to be scrapped. And gutted that Nathan Dawe ain’t on there

I mean, yeah it’s decent, with some glaring additions, but some of these omissions were slightly disappointing to see;

Billie Eilish – No Time To Die

Roddy Ricch – The Box

The Weeknd – Heartless

The Pussycat Dolls – React

The Script – The Last Time

Coldplay – Orphans

Halsey – You Should Be Sad

Harry Styles – Falling

Camila Cabello feat. DaBaby – My Oh My

Niall Horan – Nice To Meet Ya

Eminem feat. Juice WRLD – Godzilla

Trevor Daniel – Falling

J Hus – Must Be

Future feat. Drake – Life Is Good

Travis Scott – Highest In The Room

Aitch feat. ZieZie – Buss Down

Fredo – Netflix & Chill

Blackbear – Hot Girl Bummer

DigDat featuring Aitch – Ei8ht Mile

KSI feat. Rick Ross, Lil Baby & S-X – Down Like That

KSI feat. Trippie Redd – Wake Up Call

Young T & Bugsey feat. Headed One – Don’t Rush

Bastille feat. London Contemporary Orchestra – Can’t Fight This Feeling

Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus & Lana Del Rey – Don’t Call Me Angel

Love Regenerator – Hypnagogic (I Can Wait)

LadBaby – I Love Sausage Rolls

One is assuming Matt Lucas was the only change to the album really being added last minute. A shame that Powfu didn't make it, but I guess it's only really taken off in the past couple of weeks

In the event that we actually get a Now 106 this year, these few current Top 40 hits may qualify for inclusion;

Dua Lipa – Break My Heart

Harry Styles – Falling

The Weeknd – In Your Eyes

Nathan Dawe feat. Jaykae – Flowers

Powfu feat. beabadoobee – death bed

Lil Mosey – Blueberry Faygo

Drake – Toosie Slide

I bet there’s a lot of space on NOW 105 which could’ve been filled. I hate when they do that
Space where?! There’s 46 tracks

There’s bound to be space for two or three more on disc 2 what with Matt Lucas being only 1:04 long and the majority of songs on the album being under 4mins long

Surely that Matt Lucas song must become the shortest song ever to feature on a Now CD? I believe the shortest song to hold the record before was Panini by Lil Nas X on Now 103 at just shy of 2 minutes at 1:55.

So, the UK NOW team responded to their mates in the US by immediately releasing NOW 105's track list a day after the US NOW 74, and a week earlier than I expected. It's become the first all-chart hits NOW album since NOW 101 (2018), and the first 46-track NOW since NOW 102 (2019).

I just put all NOW 105 songs in a Spotify playlist, and my prediction is that the distribution will be 24-22. The total running time of both discs, will be roughly the following:

CD 1: 24 tracks (i.e. from "Blinding Lights" to "Rain")

Total running time: 1:17:10 (2:47 remaining space)

CD 2: 22 tracks (i.e. from "everything i wanted" to "Thank You Baked Potato")

Total running time: 1:14:13 (5:44 remaining space)

So yes, there is still some space for about 1 song on CD 1, and 1 or 2 songs on CD 2. But based on this, the distribution could also be 23-23 (i.e. "Rain" will start Disc 2), just like NOW 101. Who knows?

On first glance, it appears that NOW 105 was indeed fit for its original release date of 03 April 2020, given that some of the latest songs in here were released in late March (e.g. Little Mix's "Break Up Song"). Well, the NOW team sometimes gets the rights in advance to some songs which are yet to be released, but they know will chart well, for inclusion in the NOW albums. Take NOW 104 (2019), for instance, which was the last time this happened. The song "We Got Love" by Sigala and Ella Henderson wasn't released yet when it was announced as part of NOW 104's track list; it was only out the week before 104's release.

That is, until some of you have pointed out the last-minute addition of the Matt Lucas NHS charity single, which was only released on the aforementioned date. Sure enough, they couldn't get the rights to it immediately enough had 105 been released this month, even if Mr Lucas announced his song's release date the week prior, given that it is for charity. I observed that charity singles tend to be left out the NOW albums for quite a while before placing it in one to serve its purpose: to have the profits from the song's purchase being donated to charity.

Speaking of Ella Henderson, my most favourite track in 105's tracklist is her collab with Jax Jones, "This is Real". I fell in love with "This is Real" when it first came out late last year. Or maybe because I own her first (and so far, only) album on CD?

Oh, and HospitalWard, you are quite right about the new record for shortest song in a numbered NOW album. But "Panini" was actually on 104. The Lil Nas X song on 103 was his massive chart-topper, "Old Town Road" feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, which also opened the album.

Something to add: Shame there's also no 5SOS here (excuse my pun, if you know what I mean), but I do understand that despite the fact that their latest album "Calm" reached No. 1 in the UK, the album's singles didn't get a Top 40 placing, except for last year's "Easier", which was also featured on last year's NOW 103. Same goes for BTS, but I don't know if any songs from their UK No. 1 album "Map of the Soul: 7" charted that well anyway. About time we have the second Korean act on the NOW albums. (Remember PSY? He was on NOW 83 and 85 with "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman", respectively.)

If it is laid out like that, what a waste of disc space

I’m a little amused about the back to back “Jonas” tracks and songs about “Walls” too.

I think they did that deliberately and as for the TB's, I think the reason they stopped is because people complained about them
