f*** me this is magnificent

It’s pretty much a straight cover but some more strings. The harmonies truly elevate this though. It’s just superb. I can’t wait for the Graham Norton performance

Absolutely love it! Think I gave my phone a virus in the process however.
I searched it on Twitter and someone had posted a link.
Oh I love this, Siobhan sounds gorgeous on the second verse.
Their harmonies are impeccable as always.

It’s out at Midnight in the market you’re in, the Aussies have this which is why it’s sorta half leaked. Will be disappointing if upon proper release people don’t swap to legit streaming.

I’ve got this on auto add on Apple Music so come midnight I’ll be able to stream all day for that #278 chart debut

I don't have any streaming service, so... :teresa:
Just heard this. I’m disappointed. It’s a cover and pretty average. Not as good as their classic hits.

It's a pretty loyal cover, just with added strings, but hearing the Sugababes on a track again is such a pleasure when I think everyone had pretty much given up hope. Their harmonies are great and I'm looking forward to the reaction from the public after the Graham Norton performance.

Hopefully this can create a nice buzz ahead of next year when I'm guessing we'll finally get more original new music and possibly something to celebrate 20 years of One Touch.

#91 Czech Republic

#171 Singapore

#190 Ireland

#266 Indonesia

#362 Spain

#455 Netherlands

It's at least reached a lot higher than the other two DJ Spoony tracks that were released already. Hopefully the Graham Norton performance can push this briefly into the top 20/10 on iTunes, even if it'll likely do nothing on the actual charts.

Yeah, I could see this getting really high up on iTunes following Graham Norton. Sugababes have been out of public consciousness for so long and 'Flowers' is one of those songs that, although still popular, people may have forgotten they liked so much since the artist themselves aren't remembered, so I think both points will work in its favour.

As you say, I'm not expecting this song to do anything in the official chart, but I think it will get the buzz going which they will hopefully capitalise on as soon as possible!

The fact that they're higher than both the Paloma and Lily Allen tracks already is promising and showing that there's still interest in them, even if it's doubtful that their audience will transfer over to streaming.

It's funny - when Flatline was released back in 2013 they seemed to be in an awkward place about where they fit in the pop landscape. Too old and unhip for Radio One despite getting a Dev Hynes track out there, too young for the Radio 2 crowd. Now at least it seems like they'll have a given playlisting on Radio 2 when they release their next track with Flowers getting playlisted. I really hope they'll go straight for a Q1/Q2 release and put an album out after one single. There's really no reason for them to chase chart hits now, which will take immense pressure off them.

It’s a whole decade really since the brand was anything more than a “I used to love them when I was young” to the general public. A whole age group really important to streaming have never lived really through a Sugababes era.

The girls instagram account, on that post posted above, mention it’s a little something to their fans for waiting for them. Don’t think there’s any expectation at all of a chart hit.

The media should put out some reviews today and they get a TV appearance out of it. Perfect brand building really for 2020

This is lovely, you could completely have imagined them having a hit with this in a parallel universe where the original never existed. Such a great throwback hearing their voices on a track from 2000. And it's so right to see these three back with the Sugababes name as well.
