July 27, 20197 yr haha Beyonce managed to sneak in 4 tracks then ;) the occ always get confused when there are many artists credited, same happened with Guetta, think Kendrick Lammar too but not 100% sure just realised Taylor's the Archer is in at 100!!!
July 27, 20197 yr Author It didn't happen with Guetta because Goodbye is not primarily his song. In Kendrick's case he wasn't the primary artist on every song either. This case feels slightly more unusual and I'm not really sure what the justification is for letting all four in...
July 27, 20197 yr Just checked and this look like the first time someone pulls 4 hits as lead Guetta got 3 as lead + 1 as co-lead but credited as Derulo & Guetta Kendrick's actually got five songs in the chart, 'All The Stars' (#11), 'Pray For Me' (#13), 'Black Panther' (#42), 'King's Dead' (#53) and 'Big Shot' (#55), though he is only the lead artist on three of them (ATS, BP, BS) - whilst he is credited as the joint lead on the other two he isn't the primary artist so I suppose the OCC are counting those as featured credits.
July 27, 20197 yr I think XXXTENTACION had four entries in the chart when the Skins album was released.
July 27, 20197 yr I think the occ are counting can you feel the love tonight as a song for ‘motion picture cast recording’ whereas the other three are beyonce songs. a few other beyonce songs on her compilation have also been started out. it at least makes more sense than them counting 4 xxxtentacion songs when the lil pump collab was decided to count as a lil pump song, when the song was clearly an xxx lead. still odd though, when the lion king ost is being deemed a compilation.
July 27, 20197 yr well the occ 's official credit for Can You Feel the Love Tonight is not "Cast Recording" but BEYONCE/GLOVER/EICHNER/ROGEN so shouldn't count if they were strict just double-checked and XXX also got 4, 3 credited as XXXtentacion solo and 1 as XXXTENTACION/PUMP/MALUMA/SWAE but was clearly his song too and he's the lead name if they were strict the Guetta, Kendrick, XXXt cases shouldn't be allowed either
July 27, 20197 yr Thom Yorke's Anima is only been in the chart for 2 weeks. It entered at 50 and then fell out the week after. Its re-entry at 5 makes it 2 weeks not 3
July 27, 20197 yr Thom Yorke's Anima is only been in the chart for 2 weeks. It entered at 50 and then fell out the week after. Its re-entry at 5 makes it 2 weeks not 3 Joseph’s text source uses top 200 weeks, Anima had an extra week in the top 200. it’ll be back to top 100 weeks when I resume my own text versions.
July 28, 20197 yr Joseph’s text source uses top 200 weeks, Anima had an extra week in the top 200. it’ll be back to top 100 weeks when I resume my own text versions. That makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up for me 😊👍
July 28, 20197 yr I think the occ are counting can you feel the love tonight as a song for ‘motion picture cast recording’ whereas the other three are beyonce songs. a few other beyonce songs on her compilation have also been started out. it at least makes more sense than them counting 4 xxxtentacion songs when the lil pump collab was decided to count as a lil pump song, when the song was clearly an xxx lead. still odd though, when the lion king ost is being deemed a compilation. The OCC should list the credit ‘Can you feel the love tonight’ as ‘The Lion King Cast Recording Ft. Beyoncé/Glover/Eichner & Rogen’ so that it makes all the other entries in the chart from the soundtrack valid. Beyoncé could of made a Cast Recording album which I think of been better as there is plenty of songs there (including interludes)
