Yeah the drop for Ed is pretty drastic: 61k, 41k, approx 30k... Should be 20k in a couple of weeks which leaves the door open for almost all big releases each week.

 

We all know he's not going to promote :P

 

That said, his big concerts later this month should boost the No.6 album a bit.

If the mystery female guest who’s on 5 talk shows tonight is a Rihanna album drop she could get a #1 album debut next week with Ed’s sales being what they are this week :)

the problem imo is that everything depends too much on Spotify Hot Hits... like Sorry for instance, started so well, but HH has it im the middle of the playlist so it's stuck and not progressing further, same with a lot of songs like Ellie's Hate Me or Find U Again... same is pretty high, around #10 on HH, so sure that if they place him higher, it will also go higher in the official charts, all depend on playlist present and positioning these days

 

How have things like Aitch rose so quick this week, is it been pushed up on HH?

urban acts don't need HH, have their own lists

People thinking Ed doing 30k+ during the dead weeks of August is bad are mindboggling. How many albums are doing over 10k in these low sales summer weeks?
