Monday update above!

Ariana might be able to hang onto #2 for the week then? Not bad for her at all.

Kind of crazy to see Drake potentially making the top 5 of the album chart with just a randomly dropped compilation of old songs. Apparently set to debut at #1 in the US as well. Now that's really just casually getting to #1 without any promotion or really any effort at all. When will Ed Sheeran etc.

Thanks Joseph for posting! Meant to get the thread up last night but it slipped my mind

Nice to see HAIM's summer anthem briefly sneaking into the top 100 <3

Oh great. It looks like Señorita will overtake Boyfriend by Friday. And I hope Jax Rexha can hold onto the top 40

Edited August 5, 20197 yr by Hadji

Maybe Boyfriend might be a similar sized hit to Justin Bieber's Friends? A standalone summer release from a superstar that debuts at No.2, mostly on fanbase sales and streams, and then slowly declines without ever threatening to be as big as their previous few smashes. I could be wrong and it may prove incredibly enduring but that sort of trajectory for it wouldn't surprise me.

surprised Drake's album has done so little, even if it's a collection of lost tracks, hardcore fans should buy it... just 4k seems very low, think it's available as a download album on iTunes...

if Kylie released a collection of lost tracks like this sure she'd do minimum 30K, 40K if available on cassette :o

5 newies but all horrible ones, all five are a 0/10 for me :/

Kylie should pick up some good sales today and may help her return officially to the Top 15 on Friday.

I would welcome Shawn and Camila holding Number 1 ahead of Ariana Grande.

Sam getting two top ten hits in one year? “The Thrill Of It All” era could never...

Mabel will drop back to Number 4 or 5 based on this information but that is yet a very positive outcome for the album.

AJ to block Dominic from the top 5 please

Lewis is going to struggle to make 10k album sales in a few weeks. Gonna be a long quiet summer - role on Sept!

Taylor is releasing in 2 weeks lol, so not that long

Several big albums in the week after.

Edited August 5, 20197 yr by SKOB

Bit of an album battle on (release date) September 20th!

Liam Gallagher, blink-182 and Keane. All 3 of their last albums got to #1, though I imagine LG will safely take it.

Taylor is releasing in 2 weeks lol, so not that long

Several big albums in the week after.

The question is longevity though as even the biggest artists have a 2nd week slump unless they are big streaming artists.
