Posted August 6, 20195 yr omg I'm creating a thread in Gaga again. 🌷 I'm not the best at remembering 'trends' about song opinions on here but I think I remember getting a feeling that 'Joanne' is not really that well liked on here? I'm talking about the album version with guitars btw, because I'm not sure I'm too familiar with the piano version lool. It's kinda like the only song on that album I keep going back to (I did quite like the album tho). Personally I have a soft spot for it. Do you? :o
August 6, 20195 yr No, it's terrible and bland. All she does is repeat, Joanne, where do you think you're going? and thats it. To think this cheese was a single!
August 6, 20195 yr I really like it - I think this and Million Reasons were the templates for the ASIB tracks.
August 6, 20195 yr i first heard it from the netflix doc where she played it for her dad and grandma and since then i've always felt it to be such a special song

August 6, 20195 yr The album version is actually my favourite version of it tbh.  The one that got the Grammy is probably better vocally but the album version has a real authentic feel to it. It’s always been one of my favourites from that era too. I can see why some may not like it though. Edited August 6, 20195 yr by Jordan Lee
August 6, 20195 yr It's stunning, heartfelt and beautiful. YES x Absolutely this! That "gurl, where do you think you're going?" refrain is beautiful. One of the best on the album.
