It's the one part of your answer that can be potentially challenged no matter its relevance to the original point. If there isn't one, no reply. If there is, completely new dialogue tree.

Juncker tells Sophy Ridge that Brexit will happen.

Mr Juncker did confirm to Sky News that he was now prepared to get rid of the controversial backstop plan, designed to prevent the return of a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland, but widely criticised as having the potential to tie Britain to European Union rules for an indefinite amount of time.

Mr Juncker agreed that a deal would revolve around the idea that Northern Ireland would follow EU rules on food and agriculture, with other checks being done away from the border.

"It is the basis of a deal. It is the starting and the arrival point," he said. "The internal market has to be preserved in its entirety."

Britain's new proposals are believed to revolve around a collection of ideas, known as the alternative arrangements, designed to offer a suite of separate guarantees that would satisfy politicians in Brussels and London, while avoiding the need for infrastructure on the border.

I almost feel at this point like I could write code for the sequence of arguments in this thread.

I sure hope a last minute deal happens and we're out by 31st Oct. Better get my champagne chilled.

Are you against leaving even with a deal?

Yes.

Leave campaigned for a Noreay model. That is the ONLY DEMOCRATIC DEAL THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE OFFERED. And even then 51% IS NOT ENOUGH.

Yes and they spoke with two mouths. 50 50.

Also the prople spoke back in 1970. 70% pro EU. Sorry :( That correlated with the papers praising the EU, rather than attacking it oover and oover with lies and smears since :)

Perperrl herrv sperkeerwwwn is a f***in stupid propaganda phrase. Never use it on me again k thanks.

My ears have and always remain open as to how most people on the ground, in day to day life will benefit from the UK existing a trade boc with it´s 27 nearest neighbors. Debate and argument is healthy. However, I have yet to hear a good case for leaving the EU beyond abstract and meaningless slogans like "Take back control".

Confront a Brexiteer with factual information and you get an eyeroll or abuse and then they slither away.

The UK is going to leave the EU, most likely on October 31st, in the most extreme way possible, which was most certainly NOT what was advertised in 2016. For most people in the short to medium it will prove to be(at least) somewhat disruptive and civil unrest is likely. Of course Brexiteers will caterwaul and howl the most, throw the most toys out of the pram, and of course will blame Remainers for "talking down Britain" rather than looking in the mirror.

We´ve already seen that preemptively suggested in this thread.

It´s so depressingly predictable.

During the refwrendum, their eyes glassed over and said they trusted the news to tell them the truth when challenged with facts. Brainwashed.

Deep down everyone knows it´s going to be an utter clusterf**k for most ordinary people.

It won´t change opinions though, the likes of the Daily Mail will have the excuses, scapegoats and finger pointing ready from Day 1.

They'll only change their minds if the papers change their headlines. The con is real. They now actually blame the EU for everything whilst not giving two shits before 2015. How else do you explain it going from an issue that 30% said was important to over 80%? The press is vile.

The 'Cameron Years' on BBC this evening was good.

He stated that he was devasted at the result but it was a historic moment and has changed the direction of the country and that although it hurts him democracy must prevail.

In other words, those of us who thought he was an idiot before still think he's an idiot.
