at last!! Besides adding Selena, Coldplay and The Script

they also added Foals - The Runner, AJ Tracey - Floss and James Arthur - Quite Miss Home

and Sam Felt-Post Malone is track #1 now :/

Nothing from 'Kaleidoscope' made the top 100 in a weekly chart (apart from SJLT if that counts). Not sure what to expect from the new release, I imagine it'll do better than the stuff off that EP but I think they might be past having big hit singles now. Depends on how much support they get I guess.

This is something I wonder and expect every era now, yet they have a habit of pulling something out the bag. With the right sound (and potentially right feature), they can still get a large audience behind them. Having not listened to the new stuff yet to see whether this sounds on trend or not though. Time will tell.

checking Apple Music, Selena is already #6 with Lose You to Love Me

and she's in at #73 with Look at me Now

Β

from the newies, Coldplay are at #417 with Orphans and #717 with Arabesque

Surprises me to hear that, I was under the impression they were still a massive deal. Although 'Hymn For The Weekend' etc does feel like less than 5 years ago.

well Something Just Like this with Chainsmokers was 2017 right? thats not so long ago
Thanks for the info Bre, not sure what to expect from them now. Would have been interesting to see how 'Paradise' would have done, that's their last huge song!
their last 5 big singles (Magic, A Sky full of Stars, Adventure of a Lifetime, Hymn for the Weekend and Something just like this) all went top 10, the latter even top 3... that's pretty big for a non-urban band on Spotify... not sure if you can ask for more...
oh amazing that Selena has managed to climb on day 2, almost everybody falls on day 2 cos on day 1 there are a lot of curiosity streams... also she was only added to HH today... yes, tomorrow she should climb further cos she'll have HH + NMF
'Adventure...' and 'Hymn...' in particular seemed HUGE and hung around for months and months, so I'm a bit baffled by that suggestion too.

I know, but nothing from their last EP was a hit at all (and the Los Unidades EP made no impact either) which is what is leading me to have fairly low expectations for this. They definitely could pull off another hit as the AHFOD era showed!

Great entry for The 1975 after about 6 hours, and I wasn't expecting DMA's to appear!

Huge for Selena to have climbed on day 2, without Hot Hits at the time still! Think tomorrow's update could be absolutely massive for her, definitely coming for her highest chart position ever this week.
Looks like Selena has matched the highest daily position she's ever had on UK Spotify ('It Ain't Me' peaked at #6 on weekly charts but #5 on at least one individual day apparently, I wish Kworb was a bit easier to search for this data) and indeed before NMF impact has even come in.

why this has been excluded from the updates above? :/

46 NEW Look At Her Now by Selena Gomez

In the US, Look is new at #5, while Lose You is still #1 by gained and did 2.5 million, which is huge in the US

The day it reached #5 was Thursday 6th April 2017.

My comment was directly in response to the person who said 'Paradise' was their last huge song.
