I haven't really got into a Romeo song before but this is fire! 🔥

 

(gave me slight 'LA FAMA' vibes but with more of a flamenco touch)

Not as instant as Despechá or LA FAMA, have listened to it a couple of times and still does nothing for me but will give it more listens....

Deluxe coming for real on Friday apparently! (according to a Reddit post saying she mentioned it during a concert tonight). I was starting to worry it might not actually be happening.

 

'DESPECHÁ' back at its peak of #5 on global Spotify again today after being knocked down by BLACKPINK for a while. The Romeo Santos collab is also in at #82 on global Spotify, outperforming the Justin Timberlake collab from the same album which was the one appearing in the NMF playlists *.* (they were both in 'New Music Friday Latin' but the JT one higher)

Tracklist for the deluxe (or 'MOTOMAMI+' as it appears to be called) - apparently 'CHIRI' is the song that was previously being called 'DINERO Y LIBERTAD', not sure if the other 2 (3? unsure if 'Thank Yu :)' is a song or not) new songs are entirely new or other songs she's been performing on the tour!

 

Chencho Corleone being on the remix of 'CANDY' is quite neat as the title was referencing an old song by Plan B (Chencho's duo).

Yes. The deluxe version is labelled as MOTOMAMI +. Also, it's correct that "CHIRI" is "DINERO Y LIBERTAD" and "Thank Yu :)" is an interlude.

Agree with the comments above stating that La Fama is much better without The Weekend yet excellent both ways.

I am surprised 'HENTAI' is the one getting nominations (especially for song of the year which is meant to be for the lyrics which I remember being pretty specifically panned for that song!) but it is one of my favourites so I'm not complaining, hope she picks up a few wins.

a nomination for song of the year (as opposed to record of the year) doesn't mean the song has to have good lyrics,

just means the prize goes to the people that wrote the song (melody and lyrics) rather than the performer

 

so someone like taylor can be awarded for song of the year but not cheryl cole :D

The award going to the songwriters instead of the performers is basically synonymous with it being judged for (primarily) its lyrics no?

 

I guess the melody is an element of it too but still, I think there's probably other songs on the album that would have made more sense to get the nomination in that particular category. All for its video nomination though.
