i feel like they needed to return to pure bubblegum pop but I wish they would choose an actual direction to go in instead of smashing with pop / underperforming with the sound you can tell they want to go with and then returning to pop.

That’s fair, but I feel like it’s hard to put them in a box when there’s four of them. Personally, I think Perrie would rather be releasing pure pop music. Jades favorite song they’ve ever released is Wasabi which is definitely more pop than r&b but can’t really be defined. I think they like all sorts of music and the album ends up leaning towards what they’re feeling at the moment.

I personally think Little Mix excel the most at pure pop. Their personalities just shine through that genre.

I dunno? I dont see what the problem if they wanna switch from pop every now and again? It's not like it's COMPLETELY different. It's still very pop just with RnB elements and influences. It's kind of the key to their success tbh.

There's no problem but they go from pop > r&b flop at r&b then go back to pop and have a huge era try more r&b and flop again. I think them sticking with a pop album is their best chance but I can honestly see a hiatus after this album.

Ahhh this sounds immense!

Loved Perrie's chat with Roman Kemp too. You can actually see how much she adores this track. Plus her mentioning that it was Alex's favourite track makes me even more perched after his FYN stanning.

Im expecting C List on R1 next week (not this week) and then Capital to snub, but still continue to use their name for clicks

I do feel radio might be a bit more hesitant this time around after the last few underperformances, so I'm definitely not expecting a 'straight to A-list' scenario like with Bounce Back, but I do feel R1 will maintain their usual level of support. They tend to give them a lot of random spins even when they're not on the playlist. Capital are a lot more fickle, but they did get on board with BB (albeit after a week or so) and even One I've Been Missing, so I hope whatever made them snub TAU entirely has been ironed out now.

G'won Leigh. Their tactic to capitalise on the Tik Tok hype is both clever and hilariously transparent, but 100% here for it if it helps the song's commercial prospects. I hope there's choreo in the actual MV too.

Aha! Completely. But I'm here for it! *.* At least it'll actually be another decent song that (hopefully) benefits from the app. There's only been 1 or 2 from my memory that I've actually bothered with as they're all usually generic, urban Spotify fodder.

Did I lie though? :drink:

(Just imagine that mash-up cover *.* OH MY G)

Can't believe it's been 5 years since their last live lounge

I don't think I actually get what point you're trying to make :')

Every single one of their songs to date has been pop? Some more uplifting than others, some more synthy, some more bubblegum, some more sassy, but all pop? Pop is a huge genre ~

I can't WAIT for this. It sounds absolutely killer, whatever strand of pop it is *.*

The preview sounds great, feels like just the sort of fun pop we need at the moment. I think this will do well for them, I know it's been a bit of a shaky past year for them but all they needed to was return with the right song and I think this could be it.

That actually sounds more like the type song Syco would’ve wanted them to make than a good portion of their last album.

It sounds promising though.

Lyric video out at 10am GMT tomorrow. Looks like its made from the same person who made that fanmade wasabi lyric video.
It’s out there in NZ. I’m obsessed with Leigh’s first verse and Jade’s bridge is genuinely a career highlight. I’d say the verses are actually stronger than the chorus, but the overall package is a massive bop.

I havent listened yet. Would you say its their best lead?

I'd say SOTME is still their most instant, but I reckon I'll vastly prefer this in the long run. It's more understated and definitely seems like it'll be a grower. Their vocals are heavenly.
