The fact that its going to have 7 weeks top 20 (maybe even more) is really good considering the past singles havent performed well at all. Good to see them back on track :wub: This should hopefully set them up for a big single 2.

Definitely it is a bit worrying though how they seem to be really struggling on Spotify with good playlist support.

I think more people are switching to Apple and Amazon with their free trials so as long as they do well on those services (and iTunes) I'm not worried about Spotify.

Yeah i agree, even though playlists wont have a big impact right now i would of thought being top 10 on HH for a few weeks would of kept them higher in the charts.

I wouldn't say they have good playlist support there as the lack of support outside of local playlists seems to be their main weakness, their audience in terms of playlist followers is terrible. Being #8 on Hot Hits isn't going to secure good Spotify positions if that's all they have and it's sort of literally all the songs has, besides being features in the middle or bottom of maybe two or three other big playlists.

 

What they must sort out for the next single, if possible, is some way to get them back into Today's Top Hits, but those days might be over as it's been suggested already, that'd make them jump a few good spots, I'm sure.

I hope they wait for this to be over to move onto the next single.

They do need better spotify support for single 2, the last time they were on TTH was with Woman Like Me and that was obviously a big hit. I dont think they will ever be added to that again but even if its just bigger playlists worldwide it would benefit the song massively. It seems like its spotify that is 'dragging' the song down. Better playlist support is a must tbh.

I think when a song is at #1 on HH and it barely makes a difference on the top 50 there is a bit of an issue.

 

I don’t think they’ll ever get on TTH unless they feature a big US urban artist.

 

Still, this single has definitely been a success that’s for sure after the last couple bombed.

Dumb question but what’s the difference with the playlists? Is it just that one of them (TTH) has more followers? Why would it be seen as difficult/unlikely to get playlisted with them it they can get on Hot Hits so easy?

Hot Hits UK is a UK based playlist so it’s much easier for them to get on. TTH is a global (but skewed to the US) playlist so an act like Little Mix is not going to get on there as easily.

Definitely need to 59p it this Friday.
