In a new music video Robbie performs his latest single, Can’t Stop Christmas, jiving around with a Theresa May lookalike to poke fun at the Prime Minister.

 

The video starts with a typically festive scene with Robbie sitting at home.

 

He flicks on the telly where he has transformed into the PM, delivering a briefing flanked by his scientific advisers before they’re all joined by his Tory predecessor for a boogie.

 

Sounds like the nightmare before Xmas.

Not sure it's doing much for the album sales but it's nice to see a little bit of singles success 30 years in :cheer:

It's a catchy enough song especially the chorus.

To be honest, album's sales and its charting goes worse than I thought.

I was almost sure the album will be in Top-10 Xmas but no indicates for that now.

Yes -the single is doing well but not really helping the album - which is a shame

Album is in Top-40, maybe it will be in Top-30 or even Top-20 next week because of Strcictly.

Anyway, it's around 4K per week (Top-40), so during this season he should collect another 20-25K. Twice less than thought :(

 

Single... Yes, I think he has a chance to catch Top-100 next week.

Rather pity not better because I think it's absolutely Top-3 song because of such year and because this is a clever song.

At first I was surprised he performed A Time for Change instead of Can't Stop Christmas but it seems to have worked.

 

The album is finally top 30 on Amazon and top 20 on Itunes.

 

I guess if he had sang Can't Stop Christmas it would have just benefitted the single.

 

Plus a lot of people don't want to hear that when apparently Boris can! <_<
