Plans for any release of a Christmas album must have been made by now given that Christmas is just 8 weeks away ..

I'm not sure about the idea of a TV program - but would like TV promo - interviews maybe.

So Rob has given up on 2020 I think. He will concentrate on 2021 (I hope) with two albums and everything to go with. He might be right to do so as people will be so hungry for new stuff. Being in home office since March I follow some of the early breakfast shows in NL and Germany (My normal commuting time). They have more or less famous guests every day and everyone points out that even with an album out they do not dare to think about touring etc. 2020 is lost.

It will be interesting to see what will happen in 2021 for the music scene. Maybe there will be a vaccine in 2021 or so many people are infected that there is a herd immunity.

I am wondering if he will do a repackaging of the Christmas album. I guess he will.

Such strange times we're living through - but this enforced break gives him lots of writing time.

We know that Robbie has many unreleased songs but we can't be regret on this because he releases a lot of music as well. 15 studio albums (includig UTR series) is more than U2, Kylie, Depeche Mode which have had 10 years margin, for example.

 

I think all his unreleased material will be very useful in 10 years when he should to release something and it will be great to use this advantage...

A lot of other artists are releasing Christmas material soon or have done recently. Meghan Trainor’s Christmas album is out tomorrow for example so it is strange we’ve not heard anything yet about the re-release.

 

Also I thought we were getting UTR4 this year and that doesn’t exactly need much promo so shouldn’t be effected much by covid

No - I don't think he's ever said that? He did say two albums to be released next year although he could change his mind. ;)

I think so too or else they will postpone but nothing to indicate anything yet except he has been moving around , could he be doing some promo for radio shows etc :unsure:
