I agree. In fact I'm extremely surprised they didn't ban Xmas songs altogether or create a separate chart as it was clear they were fuming over the invasion last year after their futile attempt to at least cull them. Very happy this doesn't appear to be the case! For one more year at least anyway...

I am half expecting the OCC to just ban outright songs older than 3 years rather than just have them on permanent ACR after we inevitably get about 30 Christmas songs in the top 40 this year. We may as well make the most of it while we can.

Not conspiracy when it's true.

Yes, very true, Mariah was so robbed of the Christmas Number 1 in 2018.

7" and green cassette are both showing as being sold out on the UK store... and I didn't get around to ordering either! :drama: I hope more will be stocked here. If not, that would be rather short sighted of her team!

There's currently 8731 copies of the 7" stocked on the US store, and 791 green cassettes :')

so i may have gone a little overboard last week + bought this on cd single, red cassette, green cassette + 7” vinyl :kink:
Can you only buy this in her uk store? How many were in stock?
it’s a mixture of uk + us stores but as jay said, they’ve ‘sold out’ on the uk store.

Note that the OCC chart run for 1994/95 differs from the above chart run (the 76-200 positions data from the top 200, from 1994 to 2001, was compiled by a different company - Hit Music)

OCC version:

(2nd Entry: 05.02.95) 87-83-93-100-59-79-76-out (7 weeks)

To date it's managed 61 weeks in the Top 40 / 40 weeks in the Top 20 / 20 weeks in the Top 10 / 14 weeks in the Top 5! Positions it has yet to place at in the top 40 are: 1, 3, 7, 9, 10, 15, 24, 26, 32, 33, 36, 38, 39, 40

It's off to a great start in the US too! Re-entered at #39 and then moved up to #31 in the most recent chart.

This one we're not going to talk about, I mean... I don't know what to say, but...

It will be an exciting chart watch for it this year.

Yes for this and to see how Wham do too. Maybe both top 3? Even 1 and 2?
