November 2, 20195 yr Author Persephonia Good evening from Persephonia, pleased to be announcing our votes for the final of BJSC 119 following our surprise qualification, thank you to Lotunia for their excellent hosting x Bouncing back from scandalously snubbing them two months ago, Jadakissnia are truly back on top form for us and get our 18 this month with a brilliantly infectious electronic track that we hope will be a third big hit for them in a row, it's the fifth time they've topped our votes in the final to date (following Last Lynx in BJSC 74, MONOMOTION in BJSC 97, goreshit in BJSC 102 and Somnium in BJSC 108) and their 16th medal position from us including three of their last four entries. Jupiterdonia take our 15 points, matching the highest they've got from us to date (previously done by FEVER 333 in BJSC 112, their only previous medal position for us) with a seasonally appropriate dark and intense track full of spooky atmosphere. Continuing the Halloween vibes but in a more uptempo way our 13 points go to Deandria with a SOFI TUKKER-esque Mexican zombie bop, also hoping this one can do quite well. That's Deandria's second time getting our 13 this year following mind.in.a.box in BJSC 115 and the fifth time in total they've ranked in our top 3 of a final. Three remixes line up just outside our medal positions, all of which proved to be big growers during this contest - 12 points to Fljótavík with a 00s indie electronic bop by former Persephonian act Digitalism, 11 to Summericia with their video game soundtrack remix and 10 to Cadelicia with a track that reminded us a lot of Paul Kalkbrenner's 'Feed Your Head' (but better x), thank the lord this one qualified despite its deduction and let's hope Cadelicia have managed to vote in the final x This is the highest points we've given to Cadelicia since we gave 12 to Daler Mehndi in BJSC 82, and the first time they've ranked in our top 10 of a final since Die Antwoord in BJSC 87 (though 5 of their other entries received low points in the mean time). There's more Halloween vibes in our 9 and 8 pointers for dance bloc nations Dobago (with a very creepy but awesome industrial track) and Cowtermont (with what feels like a successor to both REZZ and Uun, also cats). 7 points go to Taahino with a great poppy metal track, much better than the Issues song from Nuggets thankfully, and Aeroche continue the spooky vibes rounding out our top 10 with their I Blame Coco sampling witch house track picking up 6 points.
