I would have liked her to have released a Christmas album to tie in with the Gig, even if just on her website at the time. She clearly recorded the tracks for backing vocals so she could easily have just whacked them onto an album and called it "My Happy Christmas" to tie in with the Happy Place era. :wub:

I think it came when she went on holiday right in the middle of the Free Me album launch week or something like that lol she actually does hussle quite a bit, but she did do some questionable choices.

 

Also the Life in Mono promo was non existent besides her being on Strictly and then after Christmas was done (and the album flopping), she went on a really shit promo week for her next single and called it a day.

Cute. I noticed her monthly listeners went up to over 200,000 for the first time since last year so maybe the Christmas songs are being taken up on the lead up to Christmas. I really hope she would get better playlisted with her two songs tbh.

Between Eartha and Kylie's version of Santa Baby I don't see Emma's version getting much spins. I assume she just have very low streaming numbers for it to sneak up to #4.

:lol: I seriously doubt BMG is doing much about it at all... It never got playlisted last year which was a shame, and I seriously doubt it will this year too...

 

Emma's streaming numbers just arent good enough. She has 200,000 regular listeners which is so bad for a recording artist of her stature. Like, I get it she is no Kylie, but maybe if she had done a different song that someone like Kylie wasnt so popular with, maybe it would have picked up much more... Plus, she sounds awful in it. I know she plays the whole sweet innocent Baby Spice in these records, but it's a bit toooooo much like a baby, imo...

 

I could image her doing a version of Oh Santa or the I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday. That would be at least a bit more fun.

This is correct! She really needs to get that sorted and promote it properly. She deserves to be at least on the level of Gerita and Melanie when it comes to streaming!
