Are they (OCC) going to restrict a number of Xmas songs in the charts?

They are not

OCC need to exclude Xmas songs from the chart as long as it’s the old ones

why? the charts have to reflect what people are buying and streaming, if people buy xmas songs in December, the chart has to reflect that

would be pretty idiotic to exclude them or make a separate chart

I knew a Lover Remix was going to happen, although I did expect it to be Ed Sheeran!

Songs 3 years or older are on ACR permanently which means they would have more sales if that rule wasn’t intact. If not exclude Xmas songs from the singles chart, they should at least exclude them from the chart in November

Well only idiots listen to xmas songs in November. And if a DJ plays Xmas songs in November, then they ain’t fit to call themselves a DJ. Whatever days are on an advent calendar is when Xmas songs should be played

I went on holiday to Gran Canaria in September last year and one of the bars I went to, they were playing AIWFCIY

I'd have really liked to see what an Ed remix of 'Lover' would be like tbh, it's the kind of song that'd perfectly suit Ed. And it'd annoy everyone on BuzzJack which is always fun. Not entirely sure what to expect from a Shawn remix but good that at least something is being done to try and save the song, it seemed like an obvious winter hit to me but just kind of fizzled into nothing so quickly.
