NOT SINCE DORIS DAY IN JUNE 1954...

I've checked this Chart Trivia over and over again, so I'm certain that it is right. 'Dance Monkey's 9th UK Week at No.1, is the longest' Run',

by a Solo Female, with a New Song, since W/E 26th June 1954, when 'Secret Love' was No.1 for its 9th & final Week. That is a 'Gap' of

65 Years and 6 Months...

NEW SONGS BY FEMALE SOLO ARTISTS -- THE MOST UK NO.1 WEEKS

01)=SECRET LOVE - DORIS DAY - (1954) - 9 Weeks (Non Consecutive - 1 + 8)

01)=DANCE MONKEY – TONES AND I - (2019) - 9 Weeks

03)=THINK TWICE - CELINE DION - (1994 - No.1 in 1995) - 7 Weeks

03)=BELIEVE - CHER - (1998) - 7 Weeks

03)=BLEEDING LOVE - LEONA LEWIS - (2007) - 7 Weeks

A)... If the List included Cover Versions, then this is still the Solo Female 'Most No.1 Weeks' Record Holder:

I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU - WHITNEY HOUSTON - (1992) - 10 Weeks

NOTE -- However, that was not a New Song. It was written by Dolly Parton, in 1973, and released on Record in

March 1974. So the Whitney version was a 1992 Cover...

B)... If the List included Credited Solo Females, on Hits with One Other Artist, then these would be included:

UMBRELLA - RIHANNA Featuring JAY-Z - (2007) - 10 Weeks

YOU’RE THE ONE THAT I WANT - OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN & JOHN TRAVOLTA - (1978) - 9 Weeks

ONE KISS – CALVIN HARRIS & DUA LIPA - (2018) - 8 Weeks

SUMMER NIGHTS - OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN & JOHN TRAVOLTA - (1978) - 7 Weeks

C)... The Multi Artist Single with the most UK No.1 Weeks for a Female Artist is:

ONE DANCE – DRAKE FEATURING WIZKID & KYLA - (2018) - 15 Weeks

Wow only just noticed the longest run by a female record. Well done to her and don't think she's dropping yet.

Thanks Colin too. The man with all the facts!
