Mariah has risen a lot on the chart for the 20th! Over 600k. The 3rd UK number 1 is coming :cheer:

Mariah is down about 70k on the same Friday last year with Wham down about 40k, and Own It has bigger streams than Thank U, next and Sweet But Psycho did last year which were the biggest non-Xmas songs

The extra day of streaming may help her but I think Own It will be #1

With the amount it gets played on TV and radio at this time of year, Stay Another Day doesn’t really get huge streams to reflect that ongoing support.

 

None of this year’s new Xmas songs really took off, even those that got playlisted. Makes it’s all the more impressive how well Leona and Kelly continue to do year after year. Ariana too but the other two aren’t exactly relevant anymore so it’s always great to see them so high.

 

It's hard to compare them as they established themselves before streaming and then do well on streaming due to the the fact they are modern and they are obv good as well.

It only made it into the top 200 from 20th December onwards last year! Obviously deserves better but it should make the top 200 soon.

It's def been top 200 at some stage maybe Dec 1st I think I saw it.

Of course, a lot of songs will get a reset to SCR but that won't happen until after the chart on 3rd Jan, so this could be an indicator of how that will look that day (pending any songs going to ACR this coming Friday, though nothing notable looks to be doing that). Also worth noting that I'm assuming Vossi Bop and Lights Up have been reset, I don't see how they wouldn't have been but I'm also not 100% sure!

Mimi has also a new video with 7.5M views in 2 days but I don't know if that affects much.

I actually want songs I like like bad guy and Dance Monkey to take pretty big drops this week to increase their chances of getting a reset in a couple weeks but both seem be holding up in numbers pretty well despite the xmas songs
