63. The xx – Say Something Loving

Chart peak: 1 (5 weeks)

Year: 2017

One of 3 tracks from the brilliant xx on this countdown. I wasn't so sure about this song when I first heard it, but it totally clicked along with the rest of I See You soon after - Oliver and Romy have such great voices and they go so well together. I may also have a crush on Oliver hahah

60. Jessie J feat. B.o.B - Price Tag

The only really good Jessie J song, even if B.o.B. has since turned into a flat-Earther hahah

59. Kylie Minogue – All The Lovers

Chart peak: 1 (6 weeks)

Year: 2010

Classy Kylie here, still superb 9 years on. This was the lead from the last really great Kylie album, Aphrodite. Her longest running number 1 from me for quite some time.

58. Coldplay – A Sky Full Of Stars

Chart peak: 1 (7 n-c weeks)

Year: 2014

Generic dance sell out? Well, I like it anyway :P Mixed by Avicii, this was a bit of a departure from the usual twinkly soft songs or mega stadium ballads and is much better than Something Like This which followed the same formula in 2017.

57. Route 94 feat. Jess Glynne – My Love

Chart peak: 2

Year: 2014

This banger helped cement her Sheepness Jess Glynne as a chart fixture. I think she excels as a featuring artist as her solo output is increasingly generic and dull. I wish this could have been a number 1 for me, but the competition was fierce in 2014!

56. Duke Dumont – Won’t Look Back

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2014

Duke Dumont was on fire in 2014, as this oh-so 90s and also a bit late 80s inspired dance track proves. It is reminiscent of Black Box in parts, and a bit of Snap. Just my thing!

55. Arctic Monkeys – Do I Wanna Know?

Chart peak: 5

Year: 2013

The Arctics finally came back with an album on par with their early output - AM is probably their best album imo. This lead single should've been higher on my chart, but hindsight is a glorious thing!

54. Adele – When We Were Young

Another cracker from 25. Adele is quite the feature in this countdown, and quite right too. Lets hope she returns in 2020.

53. Lady Gaga – Edge Of Glory

Chart peak: 1 (2 weeks)

By far the best track from Gaga in the 2010s and the car highlight from the patchy Born This Way.

52. Will Young - Jealousy

Chart peak: 2

Year: 2011

The highlight from Echoes, this beautiful track still resonates now. This was the last big hit for Will on the official chart, and the last big hot on my chart until his comeback this year.

51. Coldplay – Christmas Lights

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2010

Coldplay does a twinkly (then by the end a huge stadium anthem) London inspired Christmas track. The best 'modern' Christmas song, and wonderful to see it still chart even today.

Recap 60-51:

51 Coldplay – Christmas Lights

52 Will Young - Jealousy

53 Lady Gaga – Edge Of Glory

54 Adele – When We Were Young

55 Arctic Monkeys – Do I Wanna Know?

56 Duke Dumont – Won’t Look Back

57 Route 94 feat. Jess Glynne – My Love

58 Coldplay – A Sky Full Of Stars

59 Kylie Minogue – All The Lovers

60 Jessie J feat. B.o.B - Price Tag

50. Tame Impala – Let It Happen

One of a number (4 to date) of chart toppers for me from the Australian based psychedelic rockers - and this opener from Currents is their best.

49. Years & Years – If You’re Over Me

Chart peak: 1 (2 weeks)

Years & Years are so joyous - and this plinky plinky track is no exception. Love the theme of telling someone who dumped you where to get off!

48. Friendly Fires – Can’t Wait Forever

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2019

This is the most recent track on the countdown and is classic Friendly Fires. Easily the best album track from Inflorescent and the 5th number 1 from that album for me to date.

47. Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

Chart peak: 1 (6 n-c weeks)

Year: 2012

One of the biggest hits of the 2010s continues to not age well. However, it is still an extraordinary track and is rightly in my top 50 of the decade.

46. Kiesza – Hideaway

Chart peak: 1 (2 weeks)

Year: 2014

Well, Kiesza didn't live up to her promise did she! Still, the one take video is brilliant, and its a cracking dance song. I saw her live with Buzzjack's own Gooddelta and TomKay in London late 2014!

45. Friendly Fires – Hurting

Chart peak: 2

Year: 2012

Another track from the fab PALA here, one I charted a bit later than release as I sort of missed the boat with the whole album. Strange given how much I enjoyed their debut album. I've been after a vinyl copy of PALA for ages, but they are way too pricey!
