Ironic if they deem November to be the right time when all Christmas artists will steamroll them 🥴

I'll be fuming if they lose the opportunity to release it during The Search.

I can't see it going to #1 now to be honest :/

If its now finished and mastered it will most likely be released very soon while The Search is airing. I cant see them holding the album for two months or longer when they have a brand new talent show coming out soon which will obviously be big. That would be so stupid of them and their team.

 

If they dont release it while The Search is airing they have made a very big mistake as it will probably get lost in all the big releases as Novemember tends to be a busy time for albums.. So annoying if this is the case as it honestly could of went number 1 if they timed it right. C'mon girls.. Think about the timing!

Tbh, I'm not TOO fussed about the #1. I just want decent longevity with this album. I'd like a mid-Oct release (so it can hopefully stay steady in the charts during The Search) and top 20 until January kinda release. They've had their #1 album, that's not AS important to me anymore. It'd obviously be welcomed and a bonus, but I've kind of told myself #1 is out of the question aha (absolutely fingers crossed though!)

How much are we predicting this to sell on week 1? I honestly can’t decide?

 

LM5 debuted with 56k i think so i’m obviously assuming quite a bit lower than that considering album sales aren’t as high right now and they don’t have a WLM sized hit opening the era/album but BUS is still close to being a Gold hit which isn’t bad at all! I wouldn’t like to guess tbh

I agree that longevity’s more important but I really feel like its longevity would benefit way more from promo after it was released (meaning a release right at the start of liveshows) than from a release on the finale or in November. If they release in the beginning of liveshows they’d benefit from a combo of November’s high sales AND promo boost. If they release at the finale the hype will only die.

They surely have to release during the search - it would be criminal not to

 

I think we'll start hearing things about the album over the next few weeks to build up momentum

According to someone on Popjustice, the girls are announcing tour next week. Could we be expecting the album announcement too?

It’d be odd of them to announce a tour before announcing the actual album... but then again just yesterday they said they’re “waiting for the right time”...

Yup same. My prediction was around 35k but i didn’t know if that seemed too high or not. As long as it has longevity im not particularly bothered!

Tbh, I'm not TOO fussed about the #1.

I am lol! Mainly because whenever other artists get a #1 album it's always with really low sales, like Zayn's Mind of Mine getting #1 with like 22k when Get Weird was 59k and was #2. I know they've had their #1, but somehow other artists get to have consecutive #1s with MUCH lower sales, even LM5 getting #3 with 57k when in that year Kylie got #1 with 48k, Post Malone with 46k, Ariana with 45k, Jess Glynne with 36k, ASIB had 31k and 1975 were lower as well iirc. It's just frustrating.

 

In fact the only artists to have an album debut with higher sales at #1 was Drake and Take That (and I think the Greatest Showman too)

As for the actual sales, even though Christmas time doesn't help their chart positions, it DOES help their sales, regardless of popularity, so I'm gonna go with around 40k - 50k.

 

If the tour announcement is coming then I assume the album announcement would be too? Especially considering their album support tour name is usually "the [album name] tour", either way they need to be ON this album rollout.

I don't think it's odd at all. I assume it'll be another Summer tour like how it was supposed to be this year? And it'll tie in with The Search and how that group will be supporting them on that tour etc..

That’s actually a good point! Wasn’t there a video of the girls on set a few weeks ago with confetti on the floor in the background too? It’s definitely a single title but i would LOVE it to be the album title too. They could do so much with that title for the album cover. Ugh imagine the looks.
