Just checked their bundles and realised they aren't selling cassettes by themselves? Just the £32 bundles. They should really sell some by themselves for £8 or something. I think 5SOS sold like 10k cassettes alone on opening week.

Read an article today that Miley could be releasing her album next month, I know Midnight Sky has been quite a big hit but what are the chances of her debuting higher than LM if released on the same week?

Isn’t she on RCA too? I don’t think they’d release on the same week. But I wouldn’t know if she’d debut higher... I’d say no?

I don’t think Miley would come close to Little Mix’s opening sales here in the UK if they released in the same week. Definitely not on the albums chart. Singles chart there’s a possibility of a higher debut if they both dropped a new single in the same week but no way would she come close to their opening sales on albums chart here in the UK.

Of the US pop females who could release a Q4 album this year I’d probably say Ariana would be the only one likely to potentially beat them based of how their previous albums opened.

 

I’m still so torn on whether I’m team LM or team Kylie on this chart battle though! I mean Little Mix will stream more and probably have a better chart run overall so they could win the war but then I really want Little Mix to get another #1 album as I feel they do deserve it. Then I want Kylie to get the #1 because she’ll have had one across 5 consecutive decades. What a week it’s gonna be!

Also re: Miley, personally don’t think she’ll release this year. Miley has stated a few times she’s happy just releasing music as it comes but if she releases an album I’m all for it. I’m just not sure it’ll come this year? And it’s like 3 weeks until Nov 6th, so again I doubt it would be that release date. And even then she doesn’t sell massive amounts of albums here. I also don’t think she’d sell more albums than Little Mix in the long run either.

With the shows pushed back They need to try and keep building pre orders and momentum.

Single announcement would definitely do them well at this point, they can tease the debut performance for the 24th, as it would be The Search's first live show (I hope that the team are being extra careful so that it doesn't get pushed back again)

 

It may also bring in more viewership as the push back will hurt the momentum.

Well apparently Ariana's releasing her album this month.

Nope, TUN kept a second week at #1 but only did 30k~, and Little Mix (and probably Kylie) will do better than that. I can see it being very close though, Ari's gone from strength to strength and whilst the Charlie's Angel soundtrack may have been a dud, I don't think it was a complete momentum killer, but we'll see.

 

If she surprise releases this week, definitely not a threat, and next week as well won't be a threat. If it's the 30th, possibly, but who knows. It might not be a full project, she has the power atm to really do anything-music wise. Could be a Christmas project, could be a Halloween one- who knows? But I don't think she's a threat for Little Mix, IF she releases in October.

I can't see her selling well enough to beat them in her 2nd week - I see her as more of a singles artist here.

folklore was all over it when Holiday was released and pushed it out of the Top 50 for quite a few days.

I really hope SM is coming on the 23rd, if they wait until the 30th it'll get overshadowed by whatever Ariana is releasing... eek

Little Mix really can’t catch a break this year! But if Ariana is releasing this month I do think both LM and Kylie will be able to oustselll Ariana’s 2nd week sales, either way its great that we are getting so many albums dropping this year! Let’s hope they all do well sales wise 🙂
