I feel like Ariana will release on the 30th, so hopefully her sales shouldn't be too much in the second week.

 

So annoying about the next single though, seems to be doomed whatever happens as Ariana will take away hype, just as Taylor did for 'Holiday' and Dua did for 'Break Up Song'

Does anyone know of any promo the girls have planned for this so far?? I know there’s still time for it to be announced but i just hope they manage to get atleast one performance on release week along with The search and other tv shows for interviews etc! They really need to go all out if they want the number one.. it’s definitely doable!

Nothing so far which is worrying. Maybe they’re just waiting to announce it as it’s 3 weeks away lol but yeah, so far there is nothing lined up. 🥶

Should keep the pre orders high for single 3 which is very good!

Half expecting them to release another next week and then SM on the 30th.

Hmm I think this is gonna be a bit much, especially if single 3 is coming next week like we expect as well. But then again I'll eat it up and love it anyway so I can't really complain.

 

It's actually a decent plan to release as many promo singles as you can for NMF playlist exposure. Then by the time the album is out there would be 3 singles, 2 promo singles and an album track (on release day) which have all had a decent streaming push.

It's track 3! I think track 5 must be coming on Friday with an announcement at 8 today, since tomorrow it'll be available in NZ/Australia and if they hadn't announced it, it'd be a mess.

Yeah good point. Not A Pop Song has streamed quite well for a promo single and the spotify support has been quite good tbh. Its their first song to be added to 'Top Hits Philippines' since WLM..

 

I agree with you, one more promo single after track 5 and then the next single ready for the album release the following week.

I very much doubt that but i guess we never know. Her second week sales (hopefully) won’t be high enough to block them but i cant tell if that’s just me being optimistic?

I'm optimistically seeing LM and Kylie both clear 40k. I can't see Ari doing that in her second week.

You know for a damn fact second week Ariana isn’t going to be an issue for them. First week Ariana may not even be an issue considering there’s been no lead up to this era, she’s not *that* big in the UK that she can fire off a surprise release and do huge numbers. Even Taylor only did 37k.

I don’t think Ariana will be that much of a competition on second week sales but her second week sales were 31k last year with Thank U Next, it all depends on the material of the single released I get! The only issue is she will take up the entire U.K. top 50 and the next little mix single could possibly struggle getting high on Spotify!
