Finally got round to my first few listens of this. I definitely agree with the consensus that most of the best songs were released prior to the album, but Gloves Up and If You Want My Love are for sure top tier. I think the album being a little shorter in number of tracks benefits it as I don’t feel like there’s any filler at all. I also agree that MLWLYD isn’t one of their best ballads but it does it’s job nicely.

In overall terms of quality it’s pretty much exactly what I was expecting and with the right management I can see this era still having a lot of steam left in it

The two LPs, one signed is a pretty crap deal no? Surely they'd sell loads if they just added one signed LP.

I think their prices are a bit steep.. they should've maybe gone with the signed CD + poster or something or the CD + signed item. There's a lot they can do.

Yeah, 100% I think a better tactic would be to reduce the prices for a "limited time".

Yeah it’s all well and good putting up some signed albums but surely they would get more sales by doing a “Confetti week sale” or something like that lol? They probably should of done alternative covers too! But it’s good they are now fighting for it, i just hope they do more formats that aren’t so expensive

How far into the week did those artists reduce? I know Dua and 5SOS did it on like Tuesday/Wednesday?

I just ordered and realised it’s the standard vinyl that’s signed not the splatter!

 

God sake now I’ve got 2 splatters and 2 signed standard vinyls :(

 

Talk about cashing in though...I hate that they bundle 2 vinyl together!

Just ordered the splatter LP and signed limited edition bundle! Also had it sent to a friend who lives in London so that it counts!

BLACKPINK did it v late on Wednesday evening (like, 930pm) for the last day - it wasn't enough, so hopefully Tomorrow at some time!

Do we think they have more signed copies coming though?

If it's a "bundle" it's one sale per item in that bundle. Not sure about someone buying 20 at once. I heard it only counts as one sale but I'm not sure if that's a myth.

Gaga didn't reduce in the opening week for Chromatica I don't think :unsure: It was a few months or so after!

 

But yes, reducing the price is a great strategy and proven to help so they need to do it. I am fully #teamlittlemix getting the #1 this week based purely on the quality of the album!

Yeh I always thought it was counted by receipts, so if you order all at once it doesn't count, but if you buy separately it does.

 

Maybe I just made that up too and actually nobody knows!! :lol:
