will be interesting to see how the Eminem tracks do tomorrow on Spotify, especially the Ed duet, hope it doesn't go to #1

by comparison, at Apple right now his 3 highest songs are:

11 NEW Eminem - Those Kinda Nights (feat. Ed Sheeran)

12 NEW Eminem - Unaccommodating (feat. Young M.A)

13 NEW Eminem - Godzilla (feat. Juice WRLD)

DigDat/Aitch doing very well at #25 on Apple, and The 1975 at #68

How's Halsey's album tracks doing?

Still Learning is the highest of the new Halsey entries at #338, Finally // beautiful stranger is #341, Ashley #380, clementine #420, 3am at #473

^ and 'You should be sad' is at #56, 'Without Me' at #140 and 'Graveyard' at #210 (up 8, 33 and 141 places in the last 24 hours respectively).

They are, but he said ‘album tracks’ :D

Whether he meant album tracks (as in not singles) or tracks on the album (as in anything on there) was unclear

the entire eminem album is t30, even the interludes

1,5,6,10,12,13,15,17,18,24,26,29,30

with the Ringer #1

This is how Eminem did on Spotify last time he released an album but obviously proved to be fairly frontloaded as 'The Ringer' only debuted at #4 in the end (with his other two charting songs at #6 and #9). 'Those Kinda Nights' might be more likely to hit #1 overall / have longevity because of the Ed Sheeran feature but we'll see I guess ~

Joy that the song with his choice offensive ~omg so edgy~ lyrics will probably be one of the three that charts much like 'Fall' from the last album. :/ He had to put that as the first song on the album...

Interestingly the Ed Sheeran track has now actually fallen behind the Juice WRLD one on Apple Music... (#7 and #6 respectively).

(also Future is now #1 on Apple, Roddy still at #3)

Eminem coming to be the first artist to get number one albums in the 00s, 10s and 20s decade.

And he’ll probably have three tracks top 20 this week too. Hopefully not close to #1 though B-)

Just imagine if a female rap artist rapped about the Manchester attack though. It’d be an instant career killer move. But it won’t be affecting him one bit!

At the risk of wading into a touchy subject, I would say that it would if it were any current rapper or singer ie one that's come to prominence circa 2010 or later, had done so. Because Eminem has been going since the late 90s, he's effectively been "grandfathered" in to current year culture, so can release a controversial song without pulling down his career. Had a rapper released that song on their debut album in 2020? Would torch his career straight away.

To be fair. I think that’s a good point too.

He’s definitely lucky he is who he is.

And probably the first rapper to have top 10 singles in four decades

I know, guess it's more wishful thinking on my part

It's quite lovely, sounds like something else that I can't quite put my finger on?! First time I've seen Julia Michaels in the flesh and she's just ❤️

And probably the first rapper to have top 10 singles in four decades

If "Groove Is In The Heart" was one year earlier then Q-Tip would have done so, albeit uncredited for two of those decades.

things are very interesting at Apple now with The Box now #1 ahead of Life is Good, with Stormzy down to #4

Eminem has 6 tracks in the top 10 with Godzilla being the highest at #3, with the Ed duet at #5 and Accommodating at #6

Coincidentally, the DigDat/Aitch song is doing very well at #12 and that's called Ei8ht Mile,

which 8 Mile being the famous Eminem movie from back in the day

The Box Will be number 1 this week easily I think.

The Box #1 with 548K, big increase in figures

Eminem with all the songs in, 4 in the top 10 at #2 (Godzilla), 5 (the one with Ed) ,7 (Unaccommodating) and 10

DigDat/Aitch up to #8

The 1975 up to #20

I'm surprised Godzilla is higher than the Ed Sheeran track considering that was higher on NMF and, it's Ed Sheeran. The charts looking pretty bad just now with so many awful arrivals high up

Mac Miller has actually done a bit better than Eminem in the US though

Safe to say Eminem/Ed won't be #1 then if it's being clearly outperformed by another Eminem song on Spotify/Apple, nevermind other songs that it's also still behind. 'Godzilla' might be a #1 contender but I would expect it'll drop over the week so I doubt it, should be a new chart peak for Juice WRLD for sure though.

I haven't heard any of these new Eminem songs yet but I'm pleased to see Roddy Ricch holding his own to deny him even debuting at #1 on Spotify, 'Godzilla' has a pretty big first day number as well so he really had to increase quite a bit to keep the #1! Fingers crossed he can get the overall #1 this week. (He has dropped back behind Future on Apple Music though).

DigDat & Aitch's song named after the old Eminem movie outperforming all but 3 of the actual Eminem songs lol ~~ (I have just given that a listen and I think it's pretty mediocre, I usually actually quite like DigDat but he was meh on this song, I think I might have actually preferred Aitch's parts...)

Full first day album bomb results as there are a bunch of them all at once...

Eminem - Music To Be Murdered By

2 Godzilla (feat. Juice WRLD)

5 Those Kinda Nights (feat. Ed Sheeran)

7 Unaccommodating (feat. Young M.A)

10 You Gon' Learn (feat. Royce Da 5'9" and White Gold)

12 Darkness

14 Premonition (Intro)

15 In Too Deep

18 Leaving Heaven (feat. Skylar Grey)

24 Alfred (Interlude)

25 Stepdad

26 Yah Yah (feat. Royce Da 5'9", Black Thought, Q-Tip and Denaun)

28 Marsh

33 Lock It Up (feat. Anderson .Paak)

34 Never Love Again

39 Little Engine

40 Farewell

41 No Regrets (feat. Don Toliver)

53 I Will (feat. KXNG Crooked, Royce Da 5'9" and Joell Ortiz)

80 Alfred (Outro)

DigDat - Ei8ht Mile

8 Ei8ht Mile (feat. Aitch) (#184 yesterday; new peak)

65 New Dior (feat. D-Block Europe) (#52 yesterday)

101 8 Style II (#144 yesterday; new peak)

105 PCX (feat. Headie One)

191 6ix 9ine (feat. K-Trap)

192 Untitled (feat. Frosty)

Mac Miller - Circles

31 Good News (#54 yesterday; new peak)

55 Circles

58 Blue World

72 Complicated

79 I Can See

94 Everybody

102 Woods

106 Hand Me Downs

134 That's On Me

142 Surf

150 Hands

166 Once A Day

Halsey - MANIC

44 You should be sad (#51 yesterday; new peak)

93 Still Learning

129 Without Me (re-entry)

160 Graveyard (re-entry)

189 3am

Bombay Bicycle Club - Everything Else Has Gone Wrong

103 Is It Real

137 Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You) (re-entry)

146 Everything Else Has Gone Wrong

152 Get Up

162 I Can Hardly Speak

Courteeners - More. Again. Forever.

123 Hanging Off Your Cloud

And other new entries:

64 Jonas Brothers - What A Man Gotta Do

77 BTS - Black Swan

139 Bugzy Malone - Cause A Commotion (feat. Skip Marley)

173 Lauv - Tattoos Together

184 blackbear - me & ur ghost (ew)

Pleasantly surprised to see Bombay Bicycle Club charting as many as 5 songs in such a competitive week! Outperforming Courteeners here as well :magic: x I hope 'Is It Real' may have a chance to be top 100 overall this week considering it's behind so many ineligible Eminem (and a few Mac Miller) songs but won't hold my breath. Very pleased to see 'I Can Hardly Speak' getting a top 200 position after not getting there on its original release, my fave of the 5 singles  looking forward to hearing the album soon!

Also would like to see 'Good News' going top 40 this week (think it should have a good chance).

Mac Miller has actually done a bit better than Eminem in the US though

I wonder if there's some chance he could actually beat Eminem to #1 there? Probably not but that would be wild.

Amazing climb for 1975. Hopefully it will be UK top 20 next Friday. :P
