Allegedly, they didn’t follow each other on Insta until after the fact. Stinks of payoff.

He has quite a history of running his mouth and saying offensive things. He’s only here because daddy has money and with Stroll we already have more than our fill of over entitled rich trust fund no talent babies.

If this brings down Mazepins career in F1 it will be a bullet dodged for the sport

A payoff is definitely possible and I'm in agreement that he has past form for poor behaviour but the lack of following on insta isn't any kind of proof of wrong-doing itself. She claims she posted it to his account, which is possible, rather he himself. Whether this is true is impossible to know. You would like to think he'd know better.

I just find that however plausible it might be, I can't be certain that this is absolutely not just two friends messing about whatever the bad smell around it.

looks like Hamilton is back on his seat for the last race :/ would have been much more interesting with Russell

Fantastic to have the king back. Would indeed have been interesting to see BOT vs RUS on a more technical track but the boy's time will undoubtedly come again.

Let's have another new winner :D thinking one of the Mclaren boys. Unlikely as the only remotely interesting race ever held at Abu Dhabi was the 2012 thriller.

Urgh no.

Was looking forward to another dickhead free weekend.

At least we will have this to provide entertainment, coz there sure as shot won’t be any in the F1 race

A proper driver and a proper F1 car in all it’s stunning beautiful (V10 engined) glory

I wonder if Alonso will using his famed forced understeer slide technique again. Still amazes me how he managed this.

I think not with the shit tyres we have now. But it’s not beyond the realms of possibilities that Renault build a car that works like that again. It’s no co-incidence that neither of his team mates could ever quite get the same level of performance out of that Renault, the R24, R25 and R26 were specifically built for it. That in combination with the Renault V10 and V8 engines having unrivalled low end drive, torque, power and just general usability, made 2004-2013 a Renault decade. Never the engine highest on outright power but you’d struggle to take a Renault powered motor after a hairpin unless the driver f***ed it on entry.

Take me back to the mid 2000’s pls I want a do over and to appreciate the joys of F1 some more. Tyres that could be raced hard, refuelling and more exciting races. The last 2 laps of the 2006 San Marino GP alone are more exciting than 100% of all races Merc has won since the start of 2014. every one. Take all the excitement from every single one of those races and add it together and still less excitement than those last two laps.

Hell this is more exciting than watching literally any merc win from the past 6 years:

In other news, I think this Season is the First one since we used V8‘s that a Renault powered car has made it to the final round without a Grid Penalty. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, but if we make it to lights out on Sunday that will be a huge huge win for Viry and Renault. Just in time for Nando returning 😍

That is a beautiful thing to see and hear. You can almost smell it through the video

You know there it literally no hope for Abu Dhabi when Mercedes don't even win and it's still the dullest race of the season...

Having said that this is still easily one of the most exciting, entertaining seasons I've ever watched. Helped infinitely by the revamped calendar. I've heard rumours that the TBC race on next season's calendar might be a return to Portimao, fingers crossed!

missed the last race :/ but agree it's been an incredibly exciting season

I watched a bit of the race in the middle and turned it off again after a few laps. Boring crap track makes boring crap racing

Literally the R25 lapping alone was more exciting. At least it sounds and looks phenomenal

After the race Ted Kravitz said Red Bull are expected to announce Perez this week. Albon to stay as reserve/test driver.

I hope that's the case, very much deserved for Perez. I do think Albon might have a future in the sport, but was parachuted into the Red Bull too early, much like Gasly was before him.

The first driver since Webber that wasn't an internal promotion for them?

In today's young driver test session, upcoming new boy Fernando Alonso posted a fastest time that would have put him 6th on the grid in Sunday's Abu Dhabi GP. Ahead of Ricciardo and Ocon, in a car he's not yet familiar with.

Even allowing for the extra rubber on track and different ambient conditions (not sure which way that went tbh - pro or con), that's impressive.

Of all the young rookies on the grid next year this Alonso fella looks pretty promising don't ya think?

AlphaTauri has confirmed Yuki Tsunoda will join Pierre Gasly at the Red Bull sister team for the 2021 season.

Nando always has been a special driver.

Not sure when in the session the lap time was set, but pretty impressive given this was his first proper run in the RS20 on competition rubber. His 100km filming day was on weird spec tyres and the tests in the RS18 was in a detuned car.

I would love to see an onboard from the testing tho, just to see how he drives it compared to the R25 he threw round Abu Dhabi this weekend.

And in with a decent chance of forging the path to being Japan's first race winner.

Although personally I'd like Juju Noda to take that honour. Possibly the most exciting junior driver out there.
