Want: Jojo Rabbit

Think: 1917

Honestly though. Any of these I think I'd be fine with. A solid year overall this year! I am slightly hoping 'Parasite' has enough momentum to score an upset over '1917' though. Something not predictable for such a strong year would be nice!

Picture, Animation and Song def seem the most open races of the night. Not 100% on art direction, original screenplay & documentary. Anything else losing will be a shock

Notable films unseen: 1917 (it's gonna be weird not having seen the likely BP winner til after the Oscars!!), A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood, Richard Jewell

Picture - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2. Little Women, 3. Parasite, 4. Marriage Story, 5. Ford v Ferrari, 6. Jojo Rabbit, 7. Joker, 8. The Irishman - love them all though!)

Actress - Johansson (Marriage Story) (2. Ronan, 3. Theron, 4. Erivo, 5. Zellweger - all pretty close tho tbh)

Actor - Di Caprio (OUaTiH) (2. Phoenix, 3. Driver, 4. Banderas .............. 5. Pryce)

Visual effects - The Lion King (2. Avengers, 3. Irishman, 4. Star Wars - I don't want that film to win an Oscar but the visuals were outstanding)

Documentary, shorts - NS

Best picture: “Parasite” (the hype seems to be rising so much right now and they got a backlash last year for going with something obvious, so I'll be optimistic, wouldn't be at all surprised if 1917 takes it though.)

Best director: Sam Mendes, “1917”

Best actor in a supporting role: Brad Pitt, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Best actress in a supporting role: Laura Dern, “Marriage Story”

Best animated feature film: “Klaus” (very unpredictable though, Missing Link could surprise or ofc. Toy Story, very open category)

Best international feature film: South Korea, “Parasite” (most foregone conclusion of the night)

Best original screenplay: “Parasite” (few other contenders though)

Best adapted screenplay: “Jojo Rabbit”

Best documentary feature: “Honeyland”

Best production design: “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Best makeup and hairstyling: “Bombshell”
