I'm not sure if the Christmas return will be linked to that exit - didn't they say it will be part of / start of a long running storyline?

Last year they said Biancas return was part of a year long story (which it kinda has been) but she only appeared for a small number of episodes. It’s possible that the return could be linked to the exit of the character in the spoilers.

And there’s a few characters who could be part of an exit story for Max.

Tanya, Lauren (and also Jane Beale could fit in giving him a big exit story.

IMAGINE if after all of this time, Max was finally sent down for killing Steven (with a newly-revived feud with Ian which is just restarting, and a nicely timed return from Queen Jane.) I've never understood why Max wasn't held accountable for all of those silly things he did during Sean O'Connor's time.

LOVE that a possible ending for Max!

I mean after all he was responsible for Stevens death, and Jane has plenty of potential storylines for a return to be successful as well.

An ending like that for Max would be great viewing we know he isn’t being killed off and even behind bars there is potential for him to return.

I swear if the big Christmas return is just bloody Lauren :drama:

Another spent character they chose to keep alive whilst killing off the sister with more potential.

Marsden and Keeble need a return ASAP.

So heartbreaking seeing Chantelle say goodbye to her parents tonight.

I think the returning Christmas character could be linked to the exit

I'm thinking

Suzy Branning is back, didn't she had a quick fling with Phil

Tomorrow’s episode is going to be compelling.

Jessica was amazing as Chantelle throughout tonight’s episode. Those subtle touches and her facial expressions in certain scenes just sent me  when she sat next to her dad on the sofa and almost child like cuddled up by him, the way she said goodbye almost like she knows what’s about to happen when she heads home. That look on her face at the very end.

I just thought there though. Are the kids going to actually be in the house at the time she dies? I didn’t think of that but that’s even more sinister.

Not ready for tomorrow’s at all! I’ve seen some posts on twitter saying the full episode is purely centred on just Chantelle and Gray is that true?

Ya i think its going to be really compelling, i wonder how much time gray will have left on the square as its likely he is going to be leaving very soon, unless its done in a way that Gray makes it look like she fell down the stairs. I think it would be better if its a murder scene whereby initially Gray plays the whole someone killed my wife type scenario and then gets caught out later which i do think is the way it will go and it will prob be Karen who finds her body.

Completely agree. Jessica/Chantelle and this storyline really had my heart.

I found myself really invested and actually yelling at the screen for her to speak out, alas.

Really powerful stuff. Even if it helps out just one person, Jessica should be exceptionally proud.

OMG, my body went all cold throughout that episode while I was watching it unfolding.

Superb acting from both characters, but I feel for Chantelle, it was so cold and chilling.

Jessica Plummer deserves awards for her portrayal in tonight’s episode.

Dare I say this but the best EE episode this year? So powerful, intense. I can’t recall the last time a death in a soap or on a tv series in general affected me like that and I was fully prepared knowing this was the episode she was dying too.

Wow Chantelle was brilliant she stood up to him and then boom dead :(. What really struck me about tonight’s episode was the kids being upstairs that whole time, the fact that they’re probably used to the shouting and screaming too but don’t know what’s happening. And then as she lay dying her dad calling her.

I need to just sit and process that episode now. It’ll stay with me for a while.

Bloody hell Jess Plummer was powerful, fair play to Toby as well as his performance was also excellent and a real step up. She conveyed the terror of the situation so well, it was heartbreaking :(

I knew Gray was gonna stage her death when he got the milk, ugh.

But yeah, for me this was the episode of the year. I've been critical of this storyline throughout for being repetitive but the way it ended tonight was EE at it's best!!

Interesting to see the viewing figures for that episode

I really didn't expect it to play out like that. I thought Chantelle might die as the result of an accident but never thought that Gray would let her die (and plan the cover-up at the same time!)

It is extremely frustrating that such a big, powerful storyline has been given to two actors who really aren't very good but it was still heartbreaking to watch.

That was heavy. Gray managing to come across even more evil.
