Results were going roughly as expected but take a shocking turn as Adele's 'Skyfall' is eliminated! There was only ever going to be one choice to record the upcoming 23rd Bond film given the impressive success Adele achieved throughout 2011 and how perfectly suited her voice would be for a classic Bondian belter. Teaming up with Paul Epworth, they set out creating a theme that would aim to evoke the style of Shirley Bassey and relate to the plot of the film. The song was released at 0:07 BST on 5th October 2012 as part of Global James Bond Day', celebrating 50 years since the franchise began, and was met with huge critical acclaim and commercial success. This easily ranks as one of my favourite Bond themes and I'm shocked to see it out so soon. What exactly do people not like about it?

Looks like that was everyone's next target after Skyfall :lol:

I voted for 'Sheena Easton - For Your Eyes Only.' It is quite nice still I admit, but it's also a bit too cheesy for the Bond films and sounds dated even for 1981.
