Off the back of their third Top 5 album 'Doom Days' Bastille take the Britjacks first award for Group of the Year. Here's their hilarious video for 'Bad Decisions':

Dido

Mabel

FKA twigs

Freya Ridings

Wooden spoon award for zero votes: FKA twigs

Joint runners up: Charli XCX & Freya Ridings

Winner: Mabel (48% share of votes)

Mirroring the Brits result, Buzzjackers vote Mabel as their favourite British female (and rightly so). How cute was it to see her with her mum Neneh Cherry last night?

Male Solo Artist

Nominees:

Dave

Harry Styles

Lewis Capaldi

Sam Fender

Stormzy

Wooden spoon award for zero votes: Stormzy

Runner up: Harry Styles

Winner: Lewis Capaldi (43% share of votes)

In stark contrast to Stormzy winning this category at the Brits, surprisingly not a single person voted for him here. Instead it goes to some Scottish fella called Lewis. Here's his performance from last night:

Never got the Stormzy adulation but no votes is a surprise.

New Artist

Nominees:

Aitch

Freya Ridings

Lewis Capaldi

Dave

Sam Fender

Wooden spoon award for zero votes: Aitch

Runner up: Sam Fender

Winner: Lewis Capaldi (57% share of votes)

Aaaand here he is again, good old Capaldi, and this time with the biggest percentage win so far. Kinda not surprised Aitch failed to pick up any votes but thought Dave might have got more of a look in (he only got 1 vote).

Song of the Year

Nominees:

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber – I Don't Care

Mabel – Don't Call Me Up

Calvin Harris & Rag'n'Bone Man – Giant

Dave feat. Burna Boy – Location

Mark Ronson feat. Miley Cyrus – Nothing Breaks Like A Heart

AJ Tracey – Ladbroke Grove

Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved

Tom Walker – Just You And I

Sam Smith & Normani – Dancing With A Stranger

Stormzy – Vossi Bop

Joint runners up: Giant & Nothing Breaks Like A Heart

Winner: Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved (43% share of votes)

Yep, you guessed it, it's him again. With some little known song from last year called Someone You Loved. In all seriousness it's a great song but it's ridiculously overplayed by this point, probably the most overexposed song since Shape Of You. This is so far the third category in which Buzzjack picked the same winner as the Brits did.

Someone You Loved proves to be the deserved winner for song of the year!

Buzzjack's secretly big Lewis Capaldi fans then. :P

Giant or NBLAH deserved though at least they're joint runners up.

International Female Solo Artist

Nominees:

Ariana Grande

Billie Eilish

Lizzo

Pink

Taylor Swift

Runner up: Taylor Swift

Winner: Billie Eilish (38% share of votes)

Once again, Buzzjackers picked the same winner as the Brits, and an unsurprising victory for the girl who is the artist of the moment. This is the first category in which all five nominees picked up at least one vote, in fact no one got less than three votes! This is also the category that I really struggled to whittle down to five nominees but whether I'd included Lana and Madonna or not, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have changed Billie winning.

International Male Solo Artist

Avicii

Bruce Springsteen

Dermot Kennedy

Tyler, the Creator

Post Malone

Wooden spoon award for zero votes: Tyler, the Creator

Joint runners up: Post Malone & Bruce Springsteen

Winner: Avicii (38% share of votes)

I actually wasn't expecting Avicii to win this but it's a nice tribute to his legacy that he did :)

Tyler the Creator and FKA Twigs getting no votes?!!! I'd have voted both :drama:

Yes!!

Shame the BRITs didn't recognise him this year but at least he won two Swedish Grammis (song of the year with 'SOS' and electronic/dance album of the year with 'Tim')

(Sorry, rushing the results now as I'm going out for the evening in a bit)

International Group

Nominees:

BTS

Jonas Brothers

The Script

Vampire Weekend

Westlife

Runner up: Vampire Weekend

Winner: Jonas Brothers (33% share of votes)

A category which the Brits did away with this year, I'm not really sure why. Bad luck to Vampire Weekend, as Jonas Brothers won this by a single vote. Where are all the BTS stans?
