I think Bulletproof sounds stronger live than the studio version, but it's grown on me loads so I've been spamming the clip/youtube bootleg of her performance so maybe it'll just take getting used to :lol: Kingdom Come SLAYS *.*

Bulletproof is pure jury catnip and Sweden have a tendency to vote with their heads a bit. The bookies seem to be more confident also.

this may be an unpopular opinion but I think troubled waters might be one of the best songs this edition :P it sounds like the absolute best way to make a song like Best Day Of My Life and I HATED that song

I haven't been impressed with too many Melfest songs this year but 'Brave' is something else

I like Brave but the live performance was really underwhelming ngl. Dotter or Anna for me. Nothing else is even remotely close in quality.

I've had Bulletproof on repeat all day, I really can't get enough of it. REALLY hope it can win because 'Brave' isn't doing it for me in the same way.

 

EDIT: Okay, the studio version is fantastic. It didn't do it for me live for some reason.

Yeah when you hear the studio of Brave, it just makes the performance worse because you see what it COULD be and what it is :( For the song, the staging, the performance, everything, it has to be Bulletproof the more I listen.

I can't hear Bulletproof without doing imaginary hair flips, it's such a simple move but really effective in me remembering the performance from the first watch :lol:

I can't stop listening to Brave in studio form version, but every time I try the live version, it's just not getting better. FRUSTRATING.

 

 

I think I'll be happy if any of Johanna, Hanna or Anna win at this point though, but my gut is definitely rooting for 'Bulletproof', cos the whole package is better and I like her ~story.

Why is Hanna Ferm's performance like a mix of Safura 2010 and Jessica Mauboy 2018?

I had a feeling that may happen actually. I adore Nanne and the song is great, but it certainly feels very 'engineered to go viral'. Radio 1 played clips of it earlier too :lol:

I've had some time for a lot of the songs and I'm disappointed this year. Mariette, Robin and many others seemed like they just phoned it in and are sending whatever these days. I would say an overall average year for Melfest with the exception of Heat 2 and the two winners there.

 

I don't think anyone is going to come from AC to take the crown, so really I think the winner is between Dotter, Hanna, Anna, Robin and Mohombi.

 

Dotter I see picking up a ton of votes from the Public. Almost every Youtube Ranking I've seen has Dotter at the top. The Jury however could be underwhelmed.

I do see Hanna sweeping the jury if performed well on the night.

Anna I see #1 for the public vote, knocking Dotter down a bit. But I also feel the jury will prefer Dotter and Hanna.

 

So pretty much, I think the three girls are going to possibly cancel eachother out. If Robin or Mohombi come 2nd/3rd in the Jury/Public votes.. one could very easily secure the win.

I also see Mariette somehow coming in 3rd or 4th. She won't win, but I think she's going to rack up a few points from both the Jury and the Public. Votes that probably should go to Dotter/Hanna/Anna.
