On Steve Anderson's podcast, Hannah Robinson (songwriter) revealed that 'To the One' almost didn't make the album track list - it didn't make the cut initially. It was because the members of Steps were in disagreement over which tracks to include. It isn't specified who in the band didn't want 'To the One' though.

Maybe its Claire as i think i read somewhere that she really wanted a hundred years of winter as the single which i personally think was an awful choice.

AHYOW the album version is just stunning! The chopped up, sped up mess of a single was terrible.

Not for me.

 

I (still) enjoy 2 more but the singles from part 1 are better imo.

 

 

I agree with this, although Heartbreak in this city is probably my least favourite single since their comeback with Tears.
