Their play counts are combined so I guess they may have accidentally set the Hwa Sa version as the 'main' version to appear in the chart? Lol.

 

I'm seeing the remix in the embedded playlist in the OP of this thread but it's still the original on Spotify itself for me, and it's definitely still the original on Hot Hits (and I would assume on any other playlists it may be featured on), I don't think this will really affect anything.

Unlikely that any new single from this album would be anything more than a low top 100 hit (a la Billie Eilish's 'all the good girls go to hell' / Taylor Swift's 'The Man' re-entry), post-album singles never do anything these days. I doubt he's likely to even try pushing any more singles. Would be nice to at least get another music video from this era but I'd expect the next thing he does will probably be something new.

It debuted at #9 on the video streaming chart, but on week 2 it fell to #45 and on week 3 is out of the top 100

I was really expecting the video to be massive in a similar way to M5's Girls Like You,

Disappointed In Your Eyes isn’t the biggest new Weeknd track considering it was high on NMF and on HHUK, hopefully it enters officially with the 3 track rule - it’s a great song

I feel like post-album singles don't really work in a streaming climate. Considerably more people are hearing the albums on release and thus unless there's a new version, you can't drum up any excitement for something that's just been sitting there for months (or even years sometimes). It always felt like a weird hold over from the era of physical singles where there often was some more value to the package, but if you don't listen to the radio, the drip feed of 'this is the song from the album we want you to hear now' doesn't really have any relevance once the album's out in the wild.

Yeah it was, and I thought it was weird then haha. It's just that now, radio has less control over people hear, and without the same sort of financial barrier to music consumption, there's no need to curate your listening the same way.
