Gaga’s return to pop on her album Chromatica is going head to head with Gerry Cinnamon for release week.

Gerry has gained a lot in popularity and has had a sell out tour and his debut album is still currently charting. Will he beat Gaga :( or will Queen Gaga get the #1 debut.

Thoughts?

Both albums are released April 10th / Good Friday.

(The chart battle is the UK chart as obv Gerry won’t be a threat in the US).

who tf is gerry cinnamon?
Hard to say really but I've gone for Gaga. What did 'Joanne' open with (as obviously ASIB isn't really comparable)?
I'm gonna be pessimistic and say Gerry, but I think it'll be close
Gerry Cinnamon's debut album has been a very slow burner and he has pretty good singles chart success for his genre, I think he'd be very much able to contend for #1 with the follow-up on most weeks. But not sure if he'd beat Gaga especially with 'Stupid Love' doing so well.

I voted Gaga mainly because that’s who I want though. I really feel it’s gonna perhaps be close though

Closer to the time I guess we will really see and get a better idea of who’ll do it.

I think Gaga is opening on higher sales than Joanne though perhaps between 37-40K maybes.

Lady Gaga i'd assume?

granted its hard to tell how much Gerry will sell, but Gaga should easily outsell the 26k Joanne did so that'll probably be enough

Never heard of Gerry Cinnamon. I suspect Gaga will be no1 but sales will be low - probably only around 30k max.

Gerry Cinnamon will probably be huge in vinyl sales but streaming gives edge to Gaga and I assume apart from vinyls their physicals will be about the same.

But it's too early to tell of course.

Cinnamon should do similarly to Sam Fender I reckon
