Nah, I think it was some HK Region 0 thing....

the uk cover is c**p (i mean up to the usual graphic standards of entertainment in video  ) all grey and murkey

  • 1 month later...
What was the last film you bought on dvd? and why? (is it special, cheap, one you've always wanted?)
i bought the bodyguard and family guy (the kinda movie dtv episode ) as they were both in the sale and i liked born to fight and tony jaa, and family guy has been missed from my tv on a sunday night for a few weeks now

I got a 3 for £20 deal from Virgin....

"Fantastic 4" - really nowt special

"Green Street" - Better than it had any right to be really. Frodo as a footie hooligan, hilarious....

"Infernal Affairs 3" - Genius, worth 20 quid on its own.....

Bride Of Chucky - Cheap. £1.00! Couldn't resist. Good old Ebay.

Wicker Man - Just wanted to see it. The League talk about it alot in commentaries and based some of the Local shop scenes on it. And that too was quite cheap. Got it from Ebay.

I bought the Idiots the other day but I've still not watched it all the way through. I thought it went a bit boring but I'll try it again.
Walk The Line - Saw it at the cinema a few months ago and it was such a good film that I had to buy it :D

as in dogme95's Idioterne? gångbång! gångbång! gångbång! gångbång! gångbång!?

well you probably wont want to see a film by Ulrich Seidl called dog days then. which has the most annoying mental case you could share a car with (like an escapee from a little britain sketch who has fled to austria )

i liked the The Five Obstructions / De Fem benspænd, should turn it into a reality tv show where he chooses a differnt film each week and his obstructions to make it get madder and madder

Brokeback Mountain

so why was that? a re-watch or a new experience?

well i would say slightly bit special (and not for that dude made out of a crusty loaf of bread  )

Michael Chiklis (The Thing) and Julian McMahon (Dr Doom) are the more interesting things about the film, Chiklis is more-or-less exactly how Ben Grimm/The Thing should be portrayed. Jessica Alba just does her usual pouty blonde bimbo routine, it's really getting rather tedious.... I don't remember the Doctor Susan Storm-Richards of the FF comics being quite that dumb.....

Cos it was cheap and I remember seeing it on Sky about 10 years ago.
